Ahh the good old buffer trick. The mac 10 and uzi guys do that to increase firerate by reducing bolt travel. Good shit.

This is a good idea for AKs, ive seen nylon buffers for AK and cetme C, that reduce bolt travel and absorb recoil. But this can be tuned further and way cheaper to do so.

Thanks so much! This just unlocked a lot more fun at the range! Do you think this risks damaging anything or causing roller bumps or anything like that?
@RangeToyz2 ай бұрын
I don’t think it increases the speed of the rearward movement, only the cyclic rate, so no roller bumps should happen.

Any thoughts on the aiming projectors for the mp5? I want to get one for my mp5k, Or add a maglite on top of it for nostalgia. And great videos keep up the good work

My SB Tactical brace has a buffer, but the fixed stock does not have one. Do you know if that will make a difference? I just got my hose in today!
@RangeToyz2 ай бұрын
I’m not sure if it makes a difference. I think maybe only +P ammo might touch it enough to feel a difference. It probably just lessons the recoil when it hits a buffer. If you’re talking about with the hose, it’ll probably be trimmed to a different length for each one.

I got a question i seen that a air soft mp5 housing from vfc would fit a real mp5 trigger pack..only thing thats diff the sides are plastic and not steel.
@RangeToyz2 ай бұрын
So I used an airsoft housing on my GSG 5 and 522 22LR, but they needed some material removed from the inside to fit those trigger packs. It’s way cheaper plastic, and I broke a few where the pushpins go through when making them. Even if it fit a real 9 mm MP5, I wouldn’t use it because they’re so fragile. All of these styles of MP5 have more of a polymer to them instead of plastic and are much stronger. They are modern versions of the old steel trigger housings. It would be cool to put one of these on an airsoft gun if it fit.

@@RangeToyz ya i have a mke mp5 and i want a pictograph ambi lower for the mp5 so it looks a lil classic older style
@RangeToyz2 ай бұрын
@@kevinthorn9672 yeah that’s a spendy conversion. you’d have to get a pictograph trigger housing, ambi trigger pack and ambi selectors. The hole in the trigger housing is wider than SEF style housings. Franklin Armory binary packs can go inside either housing, and Custom Smith and another place I can’t recall, make ambi selectors for them.

Not with the Mp5s. HK mags in each of them. MKE mag in the V53 and they’re good to go. I still get an occasional light strike with my binary PTR91. I’ve got a extra power AR15 hammer spring in it, but it’s probably the hard primers.

I'm surprised I'm just finding this channel. Another autistic roller lock fan like me. Where did you order all those binary triggers? I see HK Parts has some special ones for the SP5 with the good selector switches and pictogram trigger housing, but holy crap they are expensive.

@@grandtheftavocado thanks for finding me! I’ll always try to respond quickly. I get all my binary triggers from Optics Planet when they have a 10% off or better sale. Sometimes the price drops on holidays and you can use a discount code too. I think the cheapest has been around 480 or so. I’ve bought SEF trigger housings from HK Parts and RTG Parts. I got MKE trigger housings engraved for the binary position because I think they’re as cool or more than the SEF ones. The ambi SEF selectors came from HK Parts. I was lucky my MP5SD and MP5K came with the ambi pictogram versions. I got the ambi Pictogram selectors from Custom Smith Manufacturing and I think another place makes them too.

Not so sure it is worth the risk of jacking up the weapons or risking more attention from the ATF over something else.
@RangeToyz2 ай бұрын
I should be fine. There’s no modification to the trigger. Lee Sporting uses this method with their MP5 lowers that use AR15 triggers, so the bolt doesn’t travel behind the hammer.
@sandwichartist50532 ай бұрын
If you think the ATF would be upset about this you should see what people are doing with an MP5, a Lee housing and the super safety 😎
