I wish I could! Maybe on Gunbroker or used somewhere. X-Products is in Washington state and a law for high capacity magazines got passed so they can’t produce them anymore. I was lucky to buy a couple before that. Good luck on your search and let me know if you find one because I want another as well.

They sound a lot louder than the subs I have. I think mine are 90grain and sound like suppressed 22. Company claimed they would cycle but they did not. Then they wanted me to open up my barrels gas port. I was like nope!

You’re right, they’re barely supersonic out of this length of barrel. I only have about 15 rounds left, but should use my new chronograph with this and my 7.5” gun to make another video. Hey man idk if you’ll see this one! But im looking into getting the Franklin armory binary for my ap5-p I’ve heard you need a different “lower” for it to fit is this true or can I just slap it in!
@RangeToyz2 күн бұрын
Slap it in my friend lol It’s a direct fit. All you do is adjust the front hight adjustment screw on the binary pack for proper fit. There’s pretty good instructions and an installation video here on KZbin. You’ll transfer the ejector lever, ejector lever axle and ejector lever spring from your existing trigger pack or you can purchase them separately so you keep yours complete. Let me know if you have any questions about the process. Have fun and be safe!

how is the gas blow back when suppressed compared to a DI gun? it looks like there is a fair amount of gas coming out of the ejection port
@RangeToyz3 күн бұрын
I think it depends on the ammo and how clean the powder burns. These subs looked like a bigger smoke cloud compared to the supers and the brass ejection direction was even mellower at about 4 o’clock vs 3 o’clock with the supers. Nothing bothering my eyes. I have a PSA Dissipator DI gun with a Rugged Micro 30 and have a video with it short and long, and with a 30 caliber or 5.56 endcap. You can see where the brass direction really changes on it and the receiver and magazine definitely get dirtier suppressed as well. I really prefer all of my Adams Arms P2 short stroke piston guns with 5 position adjustable gas blocks. Extra gas is vented at the gas block instead of coming through the PWS long stroke piston tube or a DI gas tube into the receiver. All of them get some gas coming back through the barrel because of negative pressure when cycling, especially when suppressed.
@stinct17763 күн бұрын
@@RangeToyz thank you. I am looking into the MK109 upper but I have heard of multiple issues with cycling subs when suppressed. It's a bit worrisome given the high price.

@@stinct1776 glad to help! I got this Pro model when it was exclusive through Brownell’s for 650, but haven’t seen it for years. The aluminum is softer, machining was less, but the barrel, piston and 3 position gas system was the same as the MOD series. I sold this one first less than I paid and have a MK109 MOD2-M now. I had to get a H3 buffer to cycle these subs without getting light strikes. I’ve got a binary trigger in it too now, and it works great. Subs cycle slower than supers is all. I really want an Adams Arms P2 8.5” 300 blackout upper to round out my collection, but it’s so close in length, it’s hard to justify spending for another complete build. Optics Planet has a 12% MEMDAY or 85 dollar MW85 off codes right now even. The price of the Adams Arms is significantly less than the PWS too. @RangeToyz5 күн бұрын
Really, rifle suppressors don’t need to be cleaned because the pressure of the rounds push out almost all of the carbon and fouling. A little bit of material in your suppressor will cause extra turbulence and actually make it quieter. If you notice with a scale that your suppressor is a few ounces heavier than when you got it, and that could be after thousands of rounds, there are some special solutions you can use. Breakthrough Clean Technology Suppressor Cleaner and HUXWRX Suppressor Sauce are two that I’ve heard of. They are both two-part solutions that you let your suppressor soak in. I wouldn’t use an ultrasonic cleaner, just these methods I spoke of because an ultrasonic cleaner will ruin the finish on the outside of your suppressor maybe not the first time, but definitely after two or three times.
@RangeToyz5 күн бұрын
I’ve never cleaned any of my rifle suppressors, but I did clean my Octane 9 suppressor because I ran a bunch of 22LR through it. I also have to clean my MP5SD suppressor with it’s aluminum K baffles so the don’t get stuck in the tube and the suppressor doesn’t get stuck on the gun. I use welding anti spatter spray for it and try to do it every 300-500 rounds. 22 suppressors are the filthiest with its leaded ammo that’s sometimes waxed plus the carbon deposits.

Hey- fantastic video! Can you tell me, at 0:55 your diopter drum- did you mod it or buy it that way? Meaning it has a cut out in it, guessing so that the largest aperture/peep sight hole, there isn’t any part of the drum/view getting blocked? Love the idea, but dont know if I want to cut my drum, so curious to know if you did this yourself or someone manufactures them this way? Thanks!
@RangeToyz7 күн бұрын
Thanks! This Omega MP5 actually came with a V notch and all the different sight pictures are calibrated for 9mm. I replaced the drum sights that came with my GSG 5P and 522PK 22LR MP5s with the HK 7.62x51 versions that also have a V notch and only use it for them. They’re pretty cheap. I think it would be very difficult to try to cut and file a V notch yourself. A little one way or another and that’s where your bullet would go. Can’t put material back either. Even a machine shop probably wouldn’t know how deep to cut without a diagram and measurements. I’ve looked for 9mm ones that are for sale, but haven’t found any. Someone should start making them with the MP5 boom that’s happening right now.

@RangeToyz9 күн бұрын
I’m not sure lol I did have a few hiccups, but no light strikes. I’m not sure if they were possibly from not pulling or letting go of the trigger all the way, but were probably from outrunning it. I definitely try to pace my trigger pull and slow down if I get a hiccup. Gas adjustment is key and back pressure from the suppressor is factored into it. Glad I have this documented so I can look back at my settings later for reference and fine tuning of the gas setting.

PWS really makes some cool looking handguards, but perpetually out of stock, I called them today and they said probably another 2 months before they come back in stock. I am really interested in this lower, I have been going back and forth between this, Griffin Armament MK2, Radian ADAC, ADM and LMT Mars L, and of course Geissele Ambi lower (but that one is even more expensive than Radian, can be as much as 800 bucks for just the lower and a stock).
