There are people in Japan that wear kimono every day. This is also a specific method, in a specific area of Japan. Not all kimonos are processed the same way.

Can you explain why you say, "people wear kimono" instead of "a kimono"? Is wearing kimono a lifestyle? Thanks
@evrekin2 ай бұрын
@@MaryObi-v5d The wording is probably more because of the lack of plural in japanese, which also makes it more comfortable to avoid contrast with singular as well 'a' . Wearing kimono is not as much of a lifestyle as say, dressing as a monk, but it's equally loaded with significance and acceptable.

as a weaver myself I appreciate the method and history that goes behind this method of weaving thank you very much for keeping this traditional way of weaving alive and I would love to learn to weave this style of cloth as well

Its an incredible artform amd the results are breathtaking. Those that are masters of this craft have years and years of study. The prices asked for these beautiful works are low compared to the amount of labor and time invested ❤

Such a beautiful tradition. I own a couple of Kimonos. They are my most beautiful treasure. Now, i will love to make my own kimono, but my Japanese friends are gone!

Sorry to hear that. Where did you purchase the Kimonos you own, if you don’t mind me asking?

it is very interresting, thank you. Was the video made the same year it was released?

Highly doubt it, given the computer the designer was using

Thank you for creating such a fantastic video! I noticed that the thumbnail might not depict a traditional kimono. Would it be possible to update it with an image that represents a real kimono? I believe it would better reflect the authenticity of your content. Thanks!
