I think I’m the only one that I could think of that actually like the movie Van Helsing I loved it for the fact that he had almost all the universal monsters the acting was OK but it’s just one of those good bad movies that I absolutely love I am so excited for a dark universe to come to epic

It's one of my favorite guilty pleasure movies. I still like to watch it around Halloween. It's one of those situations where I'm fully aware that it kinda sucks, but it's also so ingrained in my childhoold that I don't have it in my heart to hate it. And, if nothing else, it got me into the older, superior Universal Classic Monsters. So I have to thank it for that, at the very least.

Could be. I actually enjoyed Van Helsing and Sony's Underworld series too. It does make me nervous when I hear words like "reimagined" . However, it is Universal, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt.

I was nervous too, but I remember being shocked when I saw how good the designs looked for the Dark Universe monsters. I personally think they’re perfect.

I liked Van Helsing. I own it. I also really like The Wolfman, 2010. Own that one, too. (And the Brendon Fraser flicks.) ☺The Wolfman is a totally underrated film and YES, they ALL will inspire Dark Universe. That pathetic attempt by Universal to kickstart the franchise with … Tom Cruise, 🤮 was a mistake. It could have been great, but not with Cruise. Dark Universe LOOKS AWESOME!!! 🥰

I enjoyed Van Helsing the first time I saw it, and also enjoyed the Wolfman. Repeat viewings in recent years haven’t been kind though. Admittedly I like the Tom Cruise Mummy movie - which it hadn’t failed as bad as it did because I was at least curious where that universe was going.
