Subbed! Our process is extremely similar. It’s pretty crazy how fast you can get through an interior with rinseless. For those sticky cup holders that are non-removable, try spraying some rinseless wash in it and let it sit for a few minutes. The rinseless dampened towel will wipe it up easily. I’m like you, always least aggressive measures first. Looking forward to more tips/tricks from you to add to my arsenal!

A good quality soft brush is great for the clear plastic shields around the instruments in the dash cluster. That plastic is usually very easy to mar. Same goes for a soft piano black finish. Not sure why anyone would use it for general cleaning.

Would you use rinseless wash on cloth seats, headliner, and carpets as well? I guess anything made of fabric is what I'm asking about.

Yes, this technique works well on cloth seats and headliners. It'll only clean light stains, nothing too serious. I have a special trick I use for headliners that I'll make a video on soon. I'm just waiting for a dirty headliner to come into the shop.

I am sorry if I missed it, but do you dunk and re-use the same towel for the whole car, or do you have a handful of towels in the bucket, and just switch to a new one every so often? I guess either works, but just curious.... Also, what air compressor attachment is that and what PSI are you running?

I'll use the towel until it gets dirty, and then switch it. But normally one towel does the trick for most interiors. I'm using the Tornador air tool, with the psi around 90.

I ordered that inexpensive 5 piece SPTA red handle brush set from Amazon for my 1st detail brush set. They include one of those makeup brushes and I still don't know what I'd use it for other than dusting.

That's right, those beauty brushes are not good for that👍🏼 I have been cleaning exteriors and interiors with Rinseless and makes all great, efficient, effective, and cost-effective. I have seen some detailers using APC just because and they end up pulling or erasing the white lettering on the inside of the vehicle

Rinseless Wash is the sauce when it comes to efficiency and being safe. Lots of KZbin channels would make you think an APC is necessary on every vehicle to get it clean when it's not the case. Makes zero sense .. Tornado has a bottle attachment. Yet you are forcing liquid through a rag trying to reinvent the wheel and it already exists. They makes interior cleaner … Rinse less wash is for exterior. People try to invent something that doesn’t need inventing

Let me explain the context of why I use the items the way I do, and I hope it clarifies my choices and methods. The Tornador with the bottle attachment has a place, and can even be used for the air vents like you said. However that tool doesn't have as much airflow as the standard Tornador used in the video. Instead of spending money on two tools (which I already have both) or instead of detaching the tool for the other, it's more efficient and effective to just use a dampened towel. There's less water going into the vents & buttons with my method than the bottled Tornador. I've already tested this as fact. Notice my towel isn't dripping. It's wrung out very well to create a "dampened" towel. I'm already blowing out the entire interior, so it's not efficient to carry 2 different Tornadors. It is more efficient to use the standard Tornador to blowout the interior, and use the dampened towel to wipe down surfaces as I go as well as use my method to get the vents, buttons, and crevices. As for using the Rinseless on the interior: yes, this is an off-label use of the product but it's also not a new concept. Go look at every Rinseless Wash Brand's KZbin channel and you'll see them showcasing the product being used on the interior. As mentioned in the video, this is the safest product to use on EVERY surface on the interior (and exterior). It's gentle yet effective at lifting dirt and oils. Even effective sometimes on *super light* staining. I choose this product as my 1st line chemical on interiors because my employees won't damage anything. By using this first it prevents them using an APC that may not be needed, or worse, they may have diluted incorrectly & stain/damage interior components (damaged interiors is the #1 mistake I see new detailers make in the groups & forums). I don't buy into the industry's marketing of a dedicated & labeled interior cleaner. It's yet another product for me to spend money on and take up shelf space. Another product my employees have to learn how to use. It makes more sense to use Rinseless where my product cost is like $0.0021 per 32oz bottle made. (This number is calculated and true in my spreadsheets). I do this for a living. Not for show on KZbin or act like I'm reinventing something. My intention is to help new detailers or business owners with more effective methods, and to save them from the traps in the industry. Give my methods a try at least once and see if it helps.
