Which Bible are you reading from? According to the KJV Mat 2:1 "Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem," There is no mention of Chaldean astronomers. In Mat 2:2 "Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him." There is no way pagan magicians (magi) would come to worship Jesus. In Mat 2:9 "When they had heard the king, they departed; and, lo, the star, which they saw in the east, went before them, till it came and stood over where the young child was. 10. When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding great joy." It says the star went before them, till it came and stood over the young child, and when they saw the star they rejoiced, so we are dealing with a moving star not a fixed star or constellation. In Revelations and Job stars are referred to as angelic beings. Further in Mat 2:16 it is written "...and slew all the children that were in Bethlehem, and in all the coasts thereof, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had diligently enquired of the wise men." So we are told that Herod killed all the children 2 years old and under because that is the time frame of when the wise men first saw the star and began their journey. The wise men travelled two years to get to Bethlehem, not two months as you stated. In Psalm 72:10-15 David is prophesizing of the coming Messiah and mentions Kings of Tarshish bringing presents "The kings of Tarshish and of the isles shall bring presents: the kings of Sheba and Seba shall offer gifts....15. And he shall live, and to him shall be given of the gold of Sheba..." We know from Mat 2:11 that the wise men brought gold, frankincense and myrrh. I encourage all to read and study the Bible and you will find evidence to contradict Jesus being born on December 25 (which is the birth of the pagan god Mithra) but Shavuot (The Day of Covenant).

During the reign of King Solomon he used the gold of Ophir for the Temple. We know that Solomon and King Harim had a joint venture to get gold, spices, etc. 2 Ch 9:21 "For the king's ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Huram: every three years once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks." Notice that the round trip journey was 3 years. 1 Kings 9:36 "And king Solomon made a navy of ships in Eziongeber, which is beside Eloth, on the shore of the Red sea, in the land of Edom." 2 Ch 9:26 "And he joined himself with him to make ships to go to Tarshish: and they made the ships in Eziongeber." So we can deduce that the route to Tarshish was more efficient from the Red Sea, than from the ports in Tyre, in the Mediterranean sea. There is a group of researchers who provide unchallenged evidence that show Tarshish and the gold of Ophir is in the Philippines, which would make sense why King Solomon built his ships in the Red Sea area. Sigh... Christmas is the celebration of the remembrance of the birth of our lord Jesus Christ. Of course, he wasn't born on December 25th. Anyone who actually reads the Bible understands that simple truth.

Does it matter what date we celebrate the birth of Jesus, there is no time nor space in heaven...I think it matters that we DO celebrate his birth.

Valid point. It would be nice to know with certainty. It may have been Hannukah which is close to Dec 25.But He wasnt born on Dec 25th. It may have been 6 months after John the Baptist which would be around Sept or October of the Hebrew calendar. Unfortunately Dec 25th is a Pagan Date of Celebration which isn't ideal as it is like worshipping a false God, in this case The Sun God

There are many times that it is mentioned in the Bible to NOT celebrate pagan holidays (other gods), in fact God said to completely destroy others nations that Isreal battled so that they would not take up any of their practices. God also said to not take wives from other nations so that they would not bring in their religious beliefs, so it is pretty easy to understand that God would have a problem celebrating his Son's birthday on a very pagan holiday.

Conception in 6bc at the start of the Feast of Dedication would be more than two weeks before Christmas, so I’d say not.

Agreed. My best estimate is Yeshua/Jesus was conceived on or around Christmas/December 25th.
