I've used FL Studio for literally 20 years and I still don't know how to set the damn quantize settings 100% perfectly! My notes are always slightly off either in the front of the note (when it starts) or the tail is too long (at the end of notes) so of course this leads to me taking my sweet ass precious time double clicking each note in FL that's on the grid and manually typing like I'm a data entry specialist! That's what I'm here for! I fully understand quantizing as well as how it works. I just can't seem to figure out the "perfect setting" so that I rarely have to edit any of my notes when I'm done playing things like hi hats. When I'm only playing the piano, most my notes are already spot on with the current settings I'm using for my quantize. But I need it dialed in better! Not sure what to change to fix my issue? I use an MPC X and it automatically throws everything perfectly to grid and is super easy to understand. FL is the only DAW I've used where the quantize settings legit confuse me so I've left it alone for all these years but I'm finally ready to figure this shit out!

Thanks for this lesson on quantize I always knew how to do it on the korg triton but never knew how to swing on any program

Other than exploding a pattern and then adjusting the swing of those individual patterns in song mode, is there a way to swing only 1 or each element of a pattern individually in pattern mode? I like to fine tune the feel of my drums before mapping them in song mode and ran in to this road block.

Is wing only affecting the notes inside a beat? While the length of each beat is same? In you example I can hear each first hihat note is longer and second hihat note is shorter with swing added.

See, working on fl11, I dont know what happened but my swing doesnt work. I did everything from quantizing, simplifyinh my patterns, refreshed my FL studio, uninstalled it and reinstalled it. I don't know the reason it's not working
@nothinbutms3 жыл бұрын
That swings the whole pattern though doesn't it? Isn't there a tweak knob to just swing the hi hats if we want to ?

I have the question: I have a project where something happened and the swing it`s not working... How to fix it? This is very important track for me. It regards all channels on channel rack. I have FL Studio 20.07.1 Producer Edition. Thank you!

Can you swing each pattern differently? I noticed when i use swing, it applies it to all patterns which is annoying
@dilliot2k4 жыл бұрын
I havent' heart of there being a separate swing inside of fl studio unless you do it in the piano roll and quantize with swing there.

@@dilliot2k yeah, its just extra work, I thought there was a more efficient way :/

Is there a way to automatically turn off swing for new channels when you open them in FL's Channel Rack?
@dilliot2k4 жыл бұрын
Nah your pretty stuck with it. If you do the master swing, I forget there is a way to individualy apply swing. I think its in the piano roll
