We used to trawl up grass shrimp in the bay behind Long Beach Island in Jersey and chum with them anchored at high tide. Caught some beauties that way.

Where in the bays do you suggest we try? We live in little neck and catch alot of croaker off our dock and just started boating out to bridge tunnel. Total beginners.

Generally grassy, shoreline areas Bob. 1fish2fish has made a bunch of trout vids for that area, so check them out.
