@@GenerationOchi I highly reccomend reading the manga man- I was put off by it because... you know, I had to Read, but what I did is instead of reading it in order, I just kind of jumped between chapters. I'd reccomend starting with reading Chishiya defeat the King of Diamonds, or watch a bunch of randos take down to Jack of Hearts- Those 2 are the Best ones in my opinion. And whenever you feel like it, he sure to read some of earlier chapters that have already been adapted on the show. It is very interesting to see how similar or different the games are in the manga. The 7 of Hearts or 10 of Hearts are almost identical, but the 4 of Clubs is very different and the 3 of Clubs is literally an entirely different game. Obviously I can't force anything- But I'm just saying- It's worth it:)

@@GenerationOchi I just realised something, it's really random, but the distance game was a club game right. Well if I was in that situation, I would think "a club game is for teamwork" However, usagi, arisu and the other men started running. After 5000m, they were exhausted. That would make me suspicious, because now it's starting to look like a spade game, a physical activity game. That means we've done something wrong. Then I would go run back to the bus and investigate around that area. Is this a good strategy? I'm not sure.

wow, this is a fantastic breakdown. I never thought of it that way, that the game masters would alter their plans around the people within the beach and expect so much bloodshed. Alt take: The secret to Hearts games isn't that they play with your heart (though they do) it's also that they require heart to survive. Compassion and cooperation and valuing the heart of others (i.e. their heartbeat and life) is what defines the games and their solutions. We'll see if this holds true for face cards but don't be surprised if the Heart games give ppl a choice between cooperation and competition, death and life, even if the pressure causes them not to realise that it is a choice

It was chaos, and nobody could think rationally if they won't be listened. If someone drags the body to the fire - someone can think that this person wants to hind something, and they will get themselves killed. So it was clever and wise but Arisu wasn't there to help (even tho he is a hearts game specialist, goddamnit)

I think they said the witch isn't necessarily a woman because in Japanese 魔女 has the character 女 in it meaning female The same can be said about "witch" in English since they're pretty much always portrayed as women

The solution of the 7 of Hearts game lies within the very first instructions: "Put on the goggles and proceed into the botanical garden" They didn't have to put the collar on, just the goggles. Thus using the tools to cut off the collar. Play the game, collars explode at the end, everyone lives.

I could be misremembering, but I believe the rules stated they needed to burn the witch but didn't say they had to burn them to death. If that is the case, everybody just needed to take turns sticking their hand in the fire long enough to minorly burn it.

People are disappointed about this game because it wasn't harder than 7 of hearts but i think it was hard but it wasn't supposs to be hard on arisu. but the executive members. I think that because they are forced to kill tens of innocence just to find 1 imposter for example one of the executive members in the bathroom said he didint wanna do this anymore and wanted to kill himself. Another one is when it ended a executive member tried to kill himself because of feeling guilty cause of how many people he killed for no reason since the which was dead from the beginning. Edit: Meaning this game was difficult. So difficult to the beach executive that some of them almost killed themselves.

In all Hearts games, there is a way to win while letting all Players survive- But not necessarily the Dealers. The King Of Spades game literally has 2 rules: If the King of Spades kills EVERYONE in Borderland- Game Over. If Anyone kills the King of Spades- Game Clear. Someone on reddit had a grade A level idea for the King of Hearts which we were sadly never shown in the manga- A group of people sit in a room while the King Of Hearts chills above them. None of the players can make physically contact with the King of Hearts, and vice versa. All they can do is Speak to him. While the King of Hearts has a bunch of wepons at his disposal, he's not allowed to use them... at least... not on the Players. If the players can convince the King of Hearts to kill himself- Game Clear. If the players give up- Game Over.

@@graCe83777 I personally love that idea so much- It's more unfair than any other game and that's what makes it so perfect. On the one hand- How do you convince someone to off themselves- Especially when they're already the king of all games psycological? Well, you have to remember this guy was originally a participant just like the others, and thus he must have a secret desire to die otherwise he would have never been sent to the Borderlands in the First place, let alone have decided to be a citizen and Run the games. I find the concept similar to the King of Diamonds storyline, where (spoilers) Chyshia manages to convince the king to let him live after essentially giving him a therapy session.

Well I mean dude listen- The voice said the witch role wasn't limited to women... because it flat out wasn't. That rule isn't necessarily there just to cause chaos, it's just to let people know it could be a women OR a man. In the Jack of Hearts in the manga, all players must figure out which one among them is the Jack. One of the very first things someone points out is that a Jack is usually seen as male, so shouldn't they rule out anyone female? But then someone points out that it could be a trick. The role of the Jack isn't necessarily limited to men. Does this mean the Jack HAS to be a women, or that the witch HAS to be a man? No, it just means either gender could have that role- To make sure the players don't have gender bias.

Knowing about the game masters (more kills means more years for them). What if you (by yourself) tried to stay very far away from any people making your group a low priority target? What if everyone did that? Since at least 1 person needs to be able to survive, the game masters would have to take a risk with each game.

I'm going to disagree with the point about the clarification of "witch" being thrown in to cause chaos. The English word "witch" refers to a female who practices magic, and is a gendered word. They just want to clarify that in this case, it is just the name of the game and is gender neutral, meaning it is not a hint to the gender of the witch. The fact that the witch ended up actually being female is a coincidence, and the explanation probably would have been there had the witch been male anyway. This clarification is common in logic puzzles so the player does not focus too much on the syntax.

I'm cynical and identified the witch while hoping someone had at least seen enough police procedurals to know that heated up superglue would bond with any fingertips on the knife handle so it could be dusted and Ann was a scientist of some sort given the whole autopsy thing.
