Why do I self-sabotage to begin with? Why I am stifled to begin with? Why do I secretly like this? What is the pay off? Why do I like being poor/alone/sucking at life/staying stuck/a victim?

Good questions
@dorian72152 жыл бұрын
I asked that question for sometime. The answer is: it’s comfortable. Living a life in which you are thriving had never occurred in my life in a real way. When you experience it, you will have a new level of awareness. When you do, the old habits will no longer serve you because you want to maintain this new level homeostasis. That was the conclusion I came to. I can only hope it will help you.

so true... the idea of momentum or the zone that Owen sells for so many years, haha - yes it works, but as soon as you make a break or go to sleep, you get back to square 1, it never stays, same resistance kicks in - you might just become more efficient at it - but it's not a true change

Once we find those underlying beliefs then what? It's so deep seated. Affirmations, changing our habits, etc, help but deep down there's something there that keeps drawing us back even though there could be YEARS of "prosperity" or coasting until all of that seems to crumble all at once. All meaningless. Then we make some bs commitment then rationalize away that commitment weeks later. How do we get to that core??

Bro, that stuff with the triggering and reprocess to release is almost game changing. I'm in the therapist tradition and we talk about desensitization, this processing behind what is behind it totally speaks a new nuance I have not grasped at; but it makes sense. I saw this when I started game shortly before your media fiasco, literally I had my own fiasco around that time; I think God was doing something to the tribe, anyway, after I got into a relationship, I was terrified of committing because I thought I would lose my game and all my desensitized exposure.; which yes, did end up happening. I cashed out at the wrong time before the trauma truly released. My inner poverty has me running a bear market in my external world lol. Anyway, Thank you!

Bro, don't hate on sidekicks. Some people aren't extroverts and don't want the main stage. Just look at Steve Wozniak. He never wanted fame and fortune, just to geek out, have some fun and make a little money. Sidekicks can be very successful behind the scenes and have fulfilling lives knowing that their contributions are helping and appreciated.

Your birth day and lucky me I was born with colic. Ah lucky mom can't quiet me baby for 3 months. Easier to love first baby. So daddy's girl I became. Mom jealous of me and have another maybe boy baby 7 years later to gain love back to her. 7 years later divorce. Sad for mom not figuring out a lot but in the end it all comes back to loving and forgiving. Learning what not to do can be very important too. Thanks Julien❣

When I was watching Ben 10 Alien force as a kid, I always thought Kevin eleven was cool and I resonates with him. I never thought myself as Ben because Ben is witty talkative, extrovert and lovable by people around him but Kevin was rejected by society, silent character, do the heavy work without complaining, have a cool car, Introverted hides his emotions from others, feels betrayed by his loved ones. OMG this is life I'm living now except for his superpower. What happened to me? My childhood wasn't bad at all and my parents are still together and never fights.

Heres a simple example involving money. Work smarter, not harder. But if you grew up around blue collar workers then you likely have been taught to work hard and to look like youre working hard. For many blue collar workers, looking like youre working hard is the main description of the job. However, if you are working on a high performance project that requires sensitive tuning then trying to or pretending to work hard will sabotage the entire thing. Like the old saying goes, attract, dont chase. Chasing worked when we were hunters and needed to feed the clan that day. But we are passed that. Funny enough, some hunters would have been hugely successful attracting their prey due to the circumstances.

Arcalion the only thing I know is (and Julian touched on this) being present and allowing yourself to feel/process the pain as it comes up. Meditation is good for this. I’d also recommend the book The Power of Now. I’m sure there are better/other ways to deal with it too. Good luck brother.

I'm personally trying to forgive myself for mistakes that were in the somewhat distant past. I think guilt is holding me back from happiness bc of being raised in a religious school learning of this karmic justice that controls people and causes them to just themselves too harshly. I just think about it and change the narrative to "this person was young and hurting. They didn't know and nobody was telling them."

The underdog says: "Your butt is mine". And the whole world has to answer RIGHT NOW! - I feel like being cool is offensive by definition. Including making a compliment.
