What amazes me is the short time it was built in. 1929-1931,, just two years? Incredible,, they must have pulled many all night shifts, or perhaps just had people working 24 hours a day! And where to store all the parts until installation time. All this during the great depression! Amazing!

I thought the same thing to myself many times. It's the Industrial Era's equivalent of the Great Pyramid. It's simply in-commensurable.

My high school had a moller organ but it didn't work. The console was gone. NYC cloned five high school buildings and all of them included identical moller organs. None of them work. NYC also installed organs in other high schools. My high school, New Utricht High, was one of the five clones. The facade pipes are still visible in the auditorium.

That could/can be fixed-- IF the School District wants to do so. The best possibility is to find a donor or donors, perhaps older alumni, who would like to put funds toward restoration in the hopes of it being added to the school's music program.

Are all the music extracts played from this organ?
