Exactly! This rifle compares to things like the M14EBR, M110, etc. It’s meant to be a 1-2 MOA gun to rapidly engage and suppress infantry.

I also used a rs regulate yugo mount and had better glass. Still used the original glass for fun. But with match ammo and better glass this m91 even surprised me. I was getting sub 1 moa out of it with match ammo and good glass. At 100 yards

These are really fantastic rifles. My example outshoots my Daniel’s Defense DD5V4 with PPU 182Grn Match versus the DD5 with 175grn FGMM. It’s not drastically more accurate, but it’s a touch tighter. The M91 consistently shoots between .8 MOA TO 1.3 MOA depending on how I’m feeling and how the rifles feeling. That being said, it shoots like a rusted out pipe with most surplus machine gun ammunition, like 4-5 MOA. It has a 1/9 twist barrel, so it’s set up for heavy ammunition. Getting good ammunition is the Achilles heels of this gun in the U.S.

@@humorss Not by much, but consistently by about an eight of a minute. It’s almost negligible. The AR10 still shoots superbly. This isn’t trashing the DD5, but simply saying the M91 is a great shooter.

My 91 had trigger slap and it was bad , I swapped it out for Red Star that made a big difference. Otherwise the gun is stock. I love it I also have a 76 in 8 mm and the older 77 in 308. The tack weld on the thread protector takes about 30 seconds to get rid of with a dremel

Honestly you won’t regret it. They are quite different rifles. The M91 is in the same ball park as like an M110/SR-25. The M77 is sort of in the same ball park as a FAL/G3. If you can, get the M91.

I remember using my buddies PSL in 7.62 with the classic Chevron reticle. We were using surplus and topped out I think at around 550 meters before we started getting wide variances in POI, most likely due to the ammo. Such a fun shooter though and you can do it for cheap

Surplus Spam Can ammunitions is designed for the PKM. It has a built in Cone of fire to make the LMG more effective. Downside is it is very inconsistent when fired out of a DMR.

The bag looks pretty neat. It looks exactly like the bag James used as diaper bag when his son Hop was a baby. So many memories from him. Oh yeah, the rifle is pretty neat too. Just wish it was slightly cheaper and had the option to not come with a scope. But the heritage of it is pretty awesome. Need some more Yugo Aks in my life. Yugo M70b1 for life!!

Funny how you didn’t ask, 5.11 originally made climbing pants (5.11 comes from the highest rock climbing difficulty level in the Yosemite Decimal System). Once the GWOT kicked off, 5.11 transitioned to predominately selling tactical gear. The more you know. 🌈

I have no expericence with Zastava rifles , but my buddy who was in Balkan war said to me that the Serbien Zastava AK was best in quality there , and when asked about M76 he said if you used Quality ammo then 1-2 inch spread at 100meter , if you used bad ammo then 2,5 - 3,5 inch at 100 spread . I personally would not buy fore 3500 dollars this rifle with optic , I would buy a high quality AR10 clone in cal.308 with Vortex PST gen 2 5-25 ×50 The price would be below 2300 dollars.

Most fun with that bag is it has hidden quick release clips on the straps. The fun is when the person wearing it doesn’t know and you unclip the straps and watch them slightly cry.

Had the pleasure of holding one of these in Milwaukee at a Cabellas. Even after buying the FEG hd 18 is still want one of these suckers but my wallet hates me right now so it would be a while b4 i can even think about seriously getting it. Either way the gun felt really well made and it took everything in my power to not whip out the credit card.

Well for a guy owning the Century Arms M91/30 Mosin Nagant ex-dragoon bolt action rifle, this Zastava M91 could be invited in the shared caliber party. Problem is that the Zastava is like the elusive hermit, no one is aware of how to get one. And the retail prices: yikes!!! It's like staking your early retirement savings on it.

For that kind of price, I would rather buy an LRB Medium Match M25. It's a semi accurized M14 type rifle with scope mounting built into the top of the receiver. No need for questionable side mounts for scopes. Just mount your scope of choice to the inline picatinny rail that mounts directly to the top of the receiver.

the zastava weapon is above all reliable. I grew up in the war during the breakup of Yugoslavia. At the very beginning of the war, weapons came from Romania, Hungary, much less from Germany due to the price of weapons. I know very well that a Serb, a Croat, a Bosnian Muslim will always choose a zastava gun as a weapon, and that's because of reliability.

I tried to buy one off of a person who did some scumbag shit and ended up witha bunch of them. Offered $8500 cash and was told that he would sell them on gunbroker for over 10k. Needless to say I have never gone back to that gun shop even though I had spent a fuckload of money at that shop he still refused to sell me one. To be clear this was for an actual SVD (or as close as you could reasonably get your hands on)

that rifle needs at least a 6x to 10x for long range. i use a 2-8x 32mm on a mosin and get 1.5 moa out to 300 yds. great caliber and rifle!

I looked at a m91, and it really should cost no more than 1200 to 1500 (ZPAP 70, I thought was nicer and much, much less). They only had one, so maybe that was the problem. For the money, this costs you could have a high-end Q Fix or for a bit more a SCAR, which is an engineering marvel. I would advise also looking at the SIG Sawtooth series

At one point there was a return on this rifle. 7.62x54r was so inexpensive that you could justify purchasing a $3500 rifle, knowing you were feeding it dirt cheep spam can ammo. Not so much today.
