Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His will that I may be reasonably happy in this life and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.

I cannot change my living situation at this moment. So I ask God please Abba grant me the serenity to accept the thing's at this time I currently can't change. And freedom from the stress my living situation brings upon me. The courage to stand up to my demons and enemies. The wisdom to to decipher how to deal with the things I must endure where I live. And the courage to change the things I can. God give me this day my daily bread. And for give me as I have forgive my detours. Lord I ask you for peace and patience. Guy, thanks for your shout out to your Higher Power Jesus Christ! He is mine also! At 9 years sober the bottom fell out in my sober life and I found myself at a crossroad. Re-Investigating my lost faith as the 12 and 12 states in Step 2. AA - Step 2: Came to believe that a power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity. I saw clearly that in sobriety I was trying to "control my life" and it was out of control. Ha Ha - Stayed sober and worked through the pain of "life on life's terms" and came out with a new strength and a new happiness placed in my heart by surrendering to win all over again in sobriety. Surrendering to win spiritually. For me, more importantly, to Jesus Christ. This is MY story only - I am very aware that in AA we are given a broad bridge to find our Higher Power. If it hadn't been that way, in the beginning, I wouldn't have stayed in AA. I am glad I finally REALLY got over my resentment towards Christ and gave him my life again. By God's grace and mercy and ALL of AA and the fellowship, I have 22 years sober. ONE DAY AT A TIME

I didn't know this prayer had been put to music... It has been my rock in my 27 years of sobriety... What a beautiful rendition! I am an AA success story & have never forgotten the principles I learned there... I took what I needed & left the rest... That worked for me... Put me on a spiritual path & though I've known many hardships along the way by The Grace of God I never had to pick up another drink... I was offered a $50 bill one time to drink a shot of tequila... I said I couldn't accept it because I had an allergy to alcohol... After thinking about it after a few choice words of ridicule he decided to give me the $50 anyway... Gratitude will always be my favorite topic... Thank you for this wonderful prayer put to music! You did an amazing job with those lyrics... Forever Grateful! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
