the greatest skill that ALL celebrities share with each other is the ability to read people. that's the #1 factor that got them to where they are. they are professional listeners and their "performance" is all rooted in the processing of all the data they're collecting around themselves all the time. i've met tons of celebs and i learned that about them through those personal experiences. which, btw, were all incredibly positive; in both serious or funny ways. if you've had bad experiences with them, it's because they read beneath your facade. we all wear facades but the question is.... what's under yours?

Reason why Charlize dated Sean Penn is bc he took a chance on her. No other man in Hollywood in his right mind would ask her out. Charlize has a C-nt reputation in Hollywood.

So... her "shady side" is that she once ended a relationship, she has a couple of people she doesn't like, she can be a bit of a bitch sometimes, and she once got sued for wearing the wrong watch? If this is a shady side, I'm Hannibal Lector's daughter.

Annie Lucy Exactly. Everyone's just a human with all their bad and good sides - which she must have incredibly lot to get such a succesful career and to be loved by so many people. And to use her fame for good by starting to equality aiming human rights champaign, she must also have her heart in the right place. Yes, it can feel surprisingly hurtful to get not-so excited "hello" back, but hey, can you imagine how freaking TIRED, like REALLY, she probably was!? She's got two dogs, two kids, and the 'Atomic Blonde' for what she had to train her "booty off" like she said in one interview. Think about that. Making such a huge deal about this is pure bullying in my opinion.

I suggest everyone to read the new Vanity Fair article that just came out, where a lot of the behind the scenes crew, including Charlize, Tom, and the director talk about the tension on set of Mad Max. Apparently Tom was frequently late on set, showing up 3 hours late while the whole crew and Charlize, in her makeup and costume, had to sit there and wait. The crew described Charlize as always professional and on time (not to mention was also a new mom with a baby at the time), which is what really sparked the "feud" between them, even though it was just Charlize standing up for herself and the other crewmembers. Tom was also apparently really aggressive due to his method acting, leading to on-set protection for Charlize being required. And to think this whole time some articles were blaming Charlize for being cold and hard to work with...
@missdee49272 жыл бұрын
That's what I was saying. Because of the way Charlize looks and she comes off as strong and powerful and she's a woman people want to cast her as the diva and in a negative light when in actuality Tom Hardy was the diva. An actress would never work again if they were showing up 3 hours late on a big budget film like that and he wasn't even an A-lister. People are now still going to hate for her yelling at him but she was right. She was sticking up for the crew who can't have a voice.

The difference between Theron and Jolie is that Theron is actually a pretty good actor. When I see Jolie in a role it usually feels like the Angelina Jolie show. Charlize Theron seems to actually care about giving a good performance. Also, Aeon Flux was better than both of the Tomb Raider films and I consider those to be the worst of their Hollywood blockbuster films. As far as big time celebrities getting annoyed by fans, I totally get it. I get annoyed having to make small talk with the check out person at the grocery store. I can't imagine having to put up with people constantly telling you they love you when they don't even know you. Even worse is them drawing attention to you when that's the last thing you want and then you have to deal with a bunch of strangers that think they know you. That has got to be absolutely awful to put up with on the regular.

She had one time where she may have had a bad day when talking to me, and she got snippy. I called her out on it, and we later made up. We have great conversation now. She may still be dealing with troubles earlier in her life. Some wounds never fully heal. I have been a loyal fan of hers for 25 years, and she appreciates it. My suggestion for meeting a celebrity would be to blog, and get acquainted first, like starting any relationship. Then maybe, seeing them in person may not be such a bad experience. Even though Charlize is successful, she is also a single mother of two kids, and she may be dealing with that stress. Life may not always be so rosy for any celebrity away from the camera, and they are people who deal with stress in different ways.

As a 53 yo white South African woman, this is my impression of Charlize Theron, take it or leave it: She Knew, as a white South African ,she had to pay double or triple dues to make it in the uber- liberal world of Hollywood. Because of the stereotype the world has of white South Africans as basically Nazi's.And this woman is Ambitious, and Ruthless. She was gonna make, BAMN. And she did. First there is her hypocrisy on the gun debate. She said it would be "outrageous" for American teachers to be allowed to be armed. Because her own father died of gun violence. Hellooo..her father was, as she and her mother maintains to this day, a dangerous abusive alcoholic. As they maintain to this day, if her mother did not shoot her father on that fateful night, he would have killed them. Well, at least that is what they stated to the police then - and maintains to this day (although his family paints a bit of a quite different picture of him, and the family dynamics, but that is academic now). If her mother shared Charlize's current hatred of guns, chances are Charlize would not Be here right now. IF they are telling the thruth,that is. I still wonder what the size of Charles Theron's life insurance policy was. He was a small farm owner, and owner of a successful business, so it must have been substantial.. Then she adopted 2 black kids - no problem. Bonus points in Hollywood for that, if you are a White woman,though, just let's keep that in mind.Extra points if you are a Single White woman, double-up if you are a feminist and part of the "Time's Up" movement - as Charlize is. Then she turned the lil boy into a girl. It would be Egregiously naive to assume or believe that such a young child approached his mother with deep-seated gender confusion issues. I mean, c'mon. She Knew that there is a whole gender and trans thing, been going on in the past few years, and that it will continue to be a hot topic for years to come - and so she sacrifices the little boy to her own cult of "Gotta stay relevant, Gotta be seen as The most liberal, Gotta stay in the news, Gotta be seen as this martyr with a golden heart" . She takes part in abortion rights marches, and she likes to bash Trump, talking about "The problems of raising black children in Trump's America". That's quite a few extra points ratcheted up on the "Fucked Up Scale" that seems to determine if and how frequently and what quality of work you get in Hollywood. There is no problem for her raising her kids in Trump's America. She moves and mixes in the most elite circles, which include school, daycare, activities+hobbies and playdates for her children. there is practically ZERO chance of her kids running into racism in the liberal elite Hollywood circles in which she and her kids navigate their lives. But hey, it's brownie points for any liberal, so ya.. This woman just keeps ticking off All the Fucked Up notches in the liberal sick world of Hollywood. As a fellow South African i have been watching her operate like this for years, but when she sacrificed the well-being and psyche - the Soul - of a sweet innocent little boy to her altar of materialism and getting ahead and Staying ahead in Hollywood BAMN - i just had to say something. And no i am not a conservative prim+proper Christian. I am a pagan, tattooed, swearing, beer drinking biker chick. I am anti-vaxx, i homeschool our youngest, i loathe and abhor the Abrahamic religions, because they are the prime tool of division and delusion and are a plague and a pestilence upon the unsuspecting human race. But i am Sane. And i have Decency. And Integrity.

@morton christie - A lot of local people have that suspicion. As to the accent, i saw her say years ago in an interview, that she taught herself the accent by watching US TV shows. Idk why she is so obsessive about the accent. Maybe it was diffiicult for her to learn and she strikes me as being a bit of a control freak, so she won't let herself slip up from what she sees as a goal achieved. So ya idk..There is one good thing i can say about this woman - She heartily deserved the Oscar for Monster. And that is the Only good thing i can say about her.

On few of those Charlize was the source herself, plus he co-stars in Mad Max confirmed that she feuded with Hardy, including Zoe Kravitz on Andy Cohen's show, you can even find it on here. She feuded with Toby as well, and few of her former co-stars have called her ''difficult to work with'', so there must be some truth to it all...

We should not expect ever actresses or actors to behave the way we've seen them in movies. Everyone has a dark side including celebrities but who are we to judge or label anyone for who they are. Anyhow she's a great actress and a lot of people admire her for that kind of talent.

what exactly is shady about her? she doesn't actually sound that bad to me.

Charlize is so diva self-important and I can tell you what happened to the Sean Penn relationship: Seth MacFarlane. It is so clear by interviews from A Million Ways to Die in the West that she desperately. desperately wants to get with him because he's funny, smart, and cool however Seth likes younger woman specifically those without children which is why he is more interested in casting Amanda Seyfried continuously than a woman whom can only pretend to 'play nice' for a few months on set- he knows deep down how high-maintenance Charlize Theron is, but will continue to keep the friendship at arms length because he's classy enough not to burn bridges,

Some of the most envious people I've seen in KZbin. Just because she is an accomplished actor, people can malign her about personal things like breakups, wearing a different watch or perfecting the American language. People can be really stupid. This thread is the proof.

When she was on the movie about Mars long ago, my then co worker was an extra on set. It was lunch time and everyone was waiting in line for food, except Charlize was not having it, complained out loud until she got in front of the line.

I am not surprised that Hollywood directors would present them a script and leave them to fight it out. In the end it's the directors call to get the girl he wants. Depending on how they present themselves and how well they match the character they are supposed to play. They shouldn't hate each other it's just a job. Sometimes you win and sometimes they lose. That's how life is. I love both of these actresses Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron are both great. They have their own unique characteristic and everybody has their good and bad days. I feel sorry for Celebs that they have to go through this but yeah that's the price of fame. There is nothing they can do about it but just go with the flow.

Charlize Theron is one of the most talented and beautiful actresses in Hollywood and when you are an A list actress that has it's price. When you have that level of fame and you are earning millions of dollars, people will try to make up stories and that is the ptice of fame.

Yeah... Because we all know that people who earn a lot of money and stand in spotlights often due to their job, aren't human. They could never ever act like we real humans do, because their role and example is so incredibly important for this world, that they should never be aloud to express any kind of slightly unwanted normal human emotion!!!

ledzeppelin711 That is a blatant lie. That man is a known prankster named Vitalii, he absolutely 100% was trying to kiss Will on the mouth. His schtick is to do uncomfortable things to celebrities. He's also tackled Kim K, got on his knees and buried his face Leo DiCaprio's crotch and went under America Ferrera's dress. Will had every right to react that way to an unwanted sexual advance
@CharlieKay927 жыл бұрын
ledzeppelin711 THAT'S THE POINT. He wasn't trying to kiss Will in the "traditional European way" he WAS trying to kiss him on the lips! He even admitted online a couple years later. Went in for a smooch, got smacked instead, serves him right.
