This description as well as old Indian texts sounds a lot like the lizard people of other religions and cultures. As Christians, we need to stop ignoring what the original texts say and accept them no matter how fabled or fabulous they may sound.

Hebrew speaker here, The word נָּחָשׁ (Nakhash) in the bible is always referring to a snake, like Exodus 4:3, proverbs 23:32 ETC. The other word that referring to someone who practice enchantment is also written as נַחֵ֧שׁ But notice- the Vowels are different and sound as 'Nakhesh' (and can be written also as לנחש, תנחש, מנחש) - like Genesis 44:15, Leviticus 19:26 Although these words look the same, they sound different and are not the same word. Also you forgot the that in the same verse (Genesis 3:1) it is written that the serpent was more subtil or naked then any other animal that God had made, so first it means that it was an animal that God had created, Second in Genesis 3:14 God cursed the serpent and said " thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life" This verse is proving again that it is talking about an animal and as the snake with no legs that crawling on the belly. Be careful what you teach and don't take words out of context.

I have seen another Hebrew document where it describes the serpents in Paradise and that Gabriel is over those serpents. It describes the serpents with legs and arms and a body and ears. I think it makes sense God would allow Satan bring forbidden knowledge to humanity. Otherwise we would not have free will. We'd be like robots simply doing what we were programmed to do. I think God would want humanity to not be robots but have the ability to choose what we do. A God worthy of worship would want worship to be given willingly and not through force or a lack of knowledge.

If indeed God exists and there actually is a war between good and evil people will see and have free will then to follow God or not. If God didn't destroy evil it would continue to exist. Funny how people take a translation of a translation, by tyrant kings- to be a literal and exact word. Aramaic was an extremely metaphoric and representational language. My testimony is to long to write in a comment, but I have had an experience with what must be god that lasted for quite some time. When I tell people the response is a mix as u would expect. People who have been heavy in religion are quick to cut me off and tell me that this was demonic and the trick of the devil, but if they then listen to me explain it all ( which is the longest conversation ever), they become very unsure or switch to believe that it was god. The devil, serpent, Satan, Lucifer, Morning Star, fallen angel, etc., wants to be God, the Most High. He knows mankind is made in God's Image, and now has the Holy Spirit internalized in some. By distorting sexual function, the devil, perhaps, thinks he can penetrate mankind and thereby enter into the Godhead with his own essence and achieve the unholy transition he desires. At the least beneficial level to his own, he can distort mankind into a demonized being, subject to and partaking in evil impulses. This is a very severe test for mankind to understand or take part in, and we have to measure up to this test, and be overcomers, not just viewers. Wisdom is the end result, and of course salvation which was part of creation, but was put in jeopardy by Adam and Eve, and was secured for the elect by Jesus, the Son of the Godhead.
