Has a child I watched a lot of grown up and teen stuff but I still enjoyed cartoons a lot they would just have a lot more creativity along with the fact that there was deep stuff and really effed up stuff presented in a very digestible way for a child like looking back on shows I was like damn that was really messed up and hindsight what happened no wonder has a child I reacted to things way too calmly when they were incredibly chaotic

You missed out! Sesame Street is a classic! I didn't know it came out 2 years before I was born! There were other educational PBS shows that were enjoyable. Plus the countless number of cartoons! But it does make sense that you can't appreciate it because of what shows you were exposed to at such a young age.
