The only thing payola affects is radio plays which ok ya the artist may make a little more money than they would have but either way theyre gona make millions and also the song has to be somewhat good music no dj is gona take money from me to play my shitty song with no flow and a wackass beat. To be fair, it’s not about real or fake hip hop. It’s about what makes money, if the shit makes money then it’ll stay in the for front otherwise, they’ll push it to the back. As a business person you should understand that. Either get with the times and recreate it in your own way where you stay true to your craft or call it a day/quits or w.e. At the end of the day, this shit is a business.

Hip hop generates 15 billion dollars a year, yet it still creates millionaires who are under slave contracts faking wealth , as the men behind the curtain pocket everything yet they will never sing , the cycle has taken place across all genres of music leaving entertainers no choice but to use other avenues to try making money, just because artistes trend in the social media and billboards doesn't equate to making billions .

OK so the notoriety prior didnt have a hand? The place where she's from doesn't have enough of a population to stream her music? Her music wasn't heard everywhere in NYC at a point? You can say that about her predecessors who make every excuse for others outclassing them. Cardi actually did enough brand building before the music & actually knew how to reach places others didn't because she doesn't have a ridiculous ego. She also doesn't call herself a rapper in other people's songs then tries to act like she's a pop star aside from that.

It’ll be no argument about the payola accusations because everything after that won’t be promoted heavily. This is part of the reason why I don't listen to the radio. I prefer to find music myself. How many people blow up organically, and genuinely? I don't know. That's why people need to support independent artists themselves. If we all for music ourselves, we can help people blow up from the grassroots. As fans, we're the only ones that can generate success for artists that's real. But most people don't want to take that level of initiative.

Payola for radio is about to pale in comparison to the monopoly they’re currently building on these streaming platforms. Labels have stake in the DSPs aka ownership. That’s way more than they had over terrestrial radio. All of the major playlists are loaded with label artists, known and unknown (industry plants), while artists with many more plays and more popularity don’t get playlisted on said playlists. Labels are over those playlists. Look it up.

Payola is everywhere including in streaming sites. Universal did sign a deal for Drake with Spotify to put his music on a higher level like it's being demanded by everyone there. Radio will forever take payola. It's even more than Radio DJs it's the whole station if you were to follow the story well. A story I once heard of was when a South African music compiler from a big radio station(can't mention name) asked upcoming artists to pay up 30K to get their songs on high rotation for a month, if failed he removes songs of the stations playlists.

It’s not as expensive to run an ad campaign and if an artist isn’t doing it they are just ignorant and no one is going to check them out. The Internet has made it an even playing field and if you expect an artist to blow up without any advertising you are just delusional. This is how any store is run this is how any business is operated. If you don’t look at your artists like businesses you aren’t gonna be able to live off of the craft. Now if you want to create music just to create music be my guest but if you want to make a living off of it you gotta play. Also at the end of the day the album sales aren’t what’s gonna make an artist money, It’s the tours and the merchandise ect. Spins and Streams and Plays and Album Sales aren’t enough.

She’s been blackballed from radio and DJ Envy even admitted on the breakfast club that he blackballed her and stopped playing her music. This is also why she’s never stable on the charts because radio is a huge part of billboard. Being a fan of her, her music hasn’t been doing as well on the charts because she barely gets radio play. Payola is not just in radio.. its on all these platforms ... organic is not the rules these people are playing... hints why people got all these subs followers views etc.. but yet nobody knows these people..let people tell it they hot ..Nope!!! Thats fake famous.. Whats the point and nobody really listening to your music???. Thats how all these so called artist wit no talent get attention from these bloggers.. They look at them fake numbers and say ooo this person is this and that.. When in actually they just paid for that attention and got fake bots...everybody and they mama. A rapper blogger.. etc.. if you willing to pay hundreds to thousands you to can have the celebrity starter kit..🤔🤔🤣🤣🤣...all these streaming artist breaking these alleged records.. Its fake fake and more fake... all manipulated by the labels.. I guess you can rid the rules to the game if you own it.. Yes Atlantic, sony, warner bros universal etc.. all have ownership.. the people didnt buy stocks and wasnt allowed too.. but that went over yall heads..thats how they able to give artist less then 3cents a stream..🤔🤔..Its people all over these social sites pushing the agenda.. they get sponsorship etc..the average person cant because all these sites have algorithms.. its controlled very controlled... thats why your favorite rappers have podcast.. they start seeing regular people do numbers now they want in on that too.. Stay woke..
