In the Shark Dive I take a deep dive into the world of sharks. In this episode, I analyse a rare interaction between a white shark and two Cape fur seals in South Africa. Every aspect of the interaction is different to what we would normally expect - How did these seals not only survive this renowned predator but turn the tables and become the aggressors?

Just kind of shocked you didnt explain mobbing behavior, more effectively. Also what time of year was this footage shot? Was it close to mating season for the seals? And that shark looks young, probably inexperienced

Im new to your videos and you mentioned cape fur seals so thats South Africa waters, right ? I imagine both the shark and seals know the sharks only chance to catch them is in an ambush or surprised attack.

Well of course, it was a Juvenile Great White about the same size as the larger seal. Different story if it was a 20+ footer. 🦈
