Dr. Apoki! For weeks, I've longed to commend you for not replying Aunty Adunni after she vented her anger against you. Today, after hearing you mention her name without any form of hatred, my respect for you skyrocketed. It shows your eyes are keenly focused on the big picture, common goals and the endgame. You are doing well, sir. God bless you real good. Bravo and more grace!

It will be difficult for any of the things you suggested to work because the North does not align with anyone but their interest. The North's current interest is to takeover in 2027. I am watching to see what happens. They only allowed Tinubu because they felt he was frail, but Tinubu played everyone. They will not trust Yorubas, and neither do they trust Igbos. No region wins the elections without partnerships. The only way to kick Tinubu out is for North to back Obi or Obi to step down for Atiku.

Are Nigerians and Obidients now toothless bulldogs? Dele Farotimi identified himself as one of the Obidients. Today, he is unjustly and criminally detained. Yes, our presence online is important, but these Afrocentric colonialists don’t care much about our online protests. Obidients can get international TV stations to do a feature on this story. Today, Dele Farotimi was in court. I am sure it was only family members and close associates who were present to show him solidarity. Today would have been like a carnival in Ekiti. If not that you are a fool, how can you ask this question? Don't you know, without doubt that the problem is leadership? Greed, selfishness,and godfatherrizm etc.
@Ekundayo-ce5elКүн бұрын
@@kehindeadepitan4398 Kehinde first of all you are part of Nigeria's problem. A civilized gentleman should be able to have a decent conversation with his fellow without insulting him. Please with draw the harsh word " If not that you are a fool, how can you ask this question?". My question was addressed to Dr Charles whom I believe is a decent human being and not you. Actually, the root cause of Nigeria's problem is not leadership problem and in fact leadership problem is one of the side effects of this root cause problem just like corruption, religious Injustice etc. The root cause of Nigeria's problem is the conflicting interests between the North and the South which has been the foundational problem that has plagued Nigeria since independence and even the 1998 constitution is a byproduct of the problem. Other by products as already mentioned are leadership, religious, injustice etc. It was this root cause problem that the January 1966 coup was trying to address and failed. This problem was responsible for Nigeria's civil war and all the chaos and disintegration that Nigeria is going through and if the foundational problem is not resolved Nigeria cannot make it as a Nation. It is just a matter of time before Nigeria disintegrate. The present structure in Nigeria has never and will never produce National leaders or any form of credible leadership and very sad to say that Nigeria as a country has no national interests. From the first republic to Tinubu's administration are bunch of civilians and military juntas with who came to run the federal government with regional / hidden / personal agendas that are not acceptable to all Nigerians, but the people have no choice and could not do anything about it. The root cause of Nigeria's problem was perpetrated by the so-called founding fathers (All of them are guilty and responsible: Azikwe , Sardauna, Tafawa , Awolowo , Akintola , Okpara , Okotiebo etc ) were bounch of regional lords who came to the centre and could not transform from regional leaders to national leaders and instead of building a nation with national interests , they were busy building " Interests of the North " , "Interests of the west" and "interests of the east" . They have forever divided Nigeria to a level of distrust that I don't believe the country can heal until Jesus come. The foundation that these founding fathers created was about who controls what and who dominate who. There was never a national interest not to talk of being objective. So, brother, this is beyond a leadership problem and in fact Nigerian leaders knows what is right and can do it if the system will bring them to justice if they don't but will not because they know that there are no national interests. A good example is Yaya Bello with all the money he stole. Why is he not in jail? It is also because of these conflicting interests between the north and the south that the northern youths and the southern youths cannot and will never connect and so too bad there will never be any revolution in Nigeria. The youths cannot even speak with one voice. Same problem is responsible for the continual marginalization of the IGBOS with the North as the leader and the Southwest and South South as willing tools or collaborators directly or indirectly. What is the solution: Possible only through dialogue and both the North and the South must be willing to seat down in all sincerity and openness to make the sacrifices to safe this nation from a potential breakup. They must do this for GOD sake to safe the country for the children and the unborn children. This is beyond what the present national assemblies can do as they are part of the problems. Every majority and minority tribes can send best 10 highly educated reps to a forum that will negotiate a new constitution for Nigeria. All conflicting interests must be resolved. The armed forces and the police must be sensitized and advised to keep off and respect the wishes of the people.
