That’s why the deal doesn’t actually close until they have further discussions after the show. A lot of deals fail to close after the show. If they lied at all or don’t actually have a patent then the deal won’t close.

Sharks smelled royalty. These guys sell a lot of bottles and getting a piece of that is pretty sweet. Means sharks can probably get their $1 million in a year, then get the extra $1 million next year and keep 3% of the company. And that's not counting the boost of sales from retail, the boost from showing on Shark Tank AND any marketing magic from Lori and Mark's teams.

Basically 1 million for 5% means that their whole company is worth 20 million since 1 mill is 5%, and so 100% is 20 million. That is a big valuation because 20 million is a whole lot to make your business worth, compared to other companies that are like 250k for 10% (a 2.5 million valuation)
