Love this knife. As you mentioned, not nearly as good for stabbing, which means I can’t use it professionally (contract killer), but when I open my kill briefs and slice up rope for the assignments that require restraining the subject prior to retirement, this knife is awesome.

I love this variant of the Sheepdog. And to be honest,these days I would take S35VN over (most) 20CV/M390 blades coming out. Almost everybody runs their 20CV/m390 soft (below 62hrc). What's the point of using 20CV when it's not got an optimal Heat treat and performs like mediocre D2 with added stainlessnes. But 20CV is "the hot" steel right now, and people are buying it anyway. Why would companies not sell the same knife but in 154CM etc? Because they can sell a knife to you/us for $280 instead of $120. And sadly that won't change until A: Companies up their hardness (unlikely,without high demand/uproar) B: People stop buying knives with soft steel or C: A new "hot" steel comes (aka MagnaCut etc). *Screams into the void* 😂

Answer: Most people don't understand heat treats like us and see 20CV as premium simple because it is 20CV

Temu started selling a limited selection of Kizer knives recently (the only reputable manufacturer they sell that isn't a clone/knock off) this one is $104 right now but I'm mad that I didn't pull the trigger on it a couple of weeks ago when they had it on sale for just $79 w/ free shipping!!! Ridiculously cheap for Ti and S35vn!!!

Kizer is making some quality knifes for a fair price point, Just got the Towser k and i love it. 154cm is so nice to sharpen. might be the perfect knife for me once i find some g10 scales

I have the Kizer sheepdog XL with 154CM steel and carbon fiber handles and I love it. Yes, it takes up space in my pocket but it’s worth it. I debated buying the XL or the medium sheepdog that you just reviewed and it was a tough decision. Ultimately, I went with the lower priced one but I still salivate over the medium sheepdog with premium materials.

Dear MC. I have been watching and loving the channel. I saw about 4 or 5 videos, and decided I want to collect knives now lol I do not know what it is, but knives give me that dopamine fix I need lol maybe i am going through a mid life crisis, but I like it lmao i really love the contemt and quality of your videos too. Can you recommend a good first 'quality' knife, ideally under 200 for my first knife? I did buy a gerber fast today, but want to spend a bit more on something really nice. Some of the knives i like blade style wise is tanto or drop point, maybe a mid sized 'easy opener'. I think my max budget would allow for around 300usd. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
