Aceveda was basically compromised by the end. It's why Claudette doesn't share a moment with Aceveda in the last episode. When he trying to comfort her that they all gave it their best shot.

​@@WithoutRemorse12 and aceveda and Vic had an unfriendly "alliance of convenience" at many points throughout the show when needed for their mutual survival I.e vic's fight for his job in season 7 and aceveda wanting to become mayor, or in season 2 when they teamed up against the auditor. Claudette probably knew this and chose not to acknowledge him in the end
