Great video, Brian! Two quick questions. One, you mentioned polishing by hand - what would be the best polish to use with this method? And two, if this Artedeshine Nano Gloss Paint Sealant was going to be your primary base layer of protection, what would you top it with if your goals were to increase depth and gloss while enhancing (or least not interfering with) the sheeting properties of the Artdeshine coating? Thanks!

No offense Brian but I didn't see the sheeting lol. I think I've finally accepted the fact that sheeting just comes down to contact angle and the type of water flow. Not sure sheeting is scientifically possible on a flat panel. Keep the videos coming

@jamest74854 жыл бұрын
Water spots are the Achilles Heel of ceramic and I have the same frustration with it. I would point you in the direction of the new and improved TW Seal N Shine, which is a more durable sealant and it really doesn't create spots like the ceramic spray does. Currently have it on my car and I love it. Less gloss, but no spots for me. Otherwise look into the new graphene coatings which don't have the same water spot issue as the graphene tends to reduce panel temps, which allows the water to evaporate more before spotting.

LMAO was it your channel where a couple of weeks ago I commented how everyone is obsessed with beading and they should be talking about sheeting? I've been detailing for 30+ years and sheeting has ALWAYS been my judging criteria. Also to drop drying time down considerably do a rinse with a nozzle to get rid of all soap. Then remove the nozzle and turn your water on about half and slowly rinse the car with the steady stream of water You will have very little water left to dry off!

SHEETING, oh yea we need it. In Sacramento, we have heavy dew or rain from Oct to April. Last November I replaced my 20 yr old beater with a new car that's also a non-garaged daily driver (I only keep my wife's car and my dream car garaged) But I found out the hard way, that leaving BEADED water spots on a $2700 COATED and filmed car (Sio2 applied monthly), that makes thousands of beautiful beads from dew or rain, (which I thought were safe from contaminants), still cause water spots! I didn't notice them because I wasn't looking for them, I bought $2700 of protection from everything including dew and rainwater spots (I wasn't certified then to put either product on and had no experience with film). But by February I noticed the BEADS had turned into hard water spots and I was pissed! So, I contracted for a complete deionized water system hooked up to the power-washer, so I could rinse the car every morning and dry it with the Kobalt leaf blower that Brian recommends (15-20 min max). My main goal is to prevent water spots and not scratch the paint. I believe Brian when he shows us that Art De Shine is the "Sheeting" product I want and am so glad he is sharing this loud and clear with all of us. I am literally ready to decon the whole car myself and apply the Art De Shine coating. Also, diamondrmp's technique worked really well this morning, but it takes a lot of time, so I will leave it for my weekend washes when I detail to "De-Stress" and enjoy the extra time making it perfect.

I feel like it is. I've gone down the ceramic spray route and although the water beading is awesome, it's very prone to water spotting. I switched over to the new TWSNS and there is still some beading, but it doesn't leave a thousand water spots on my car. Granted the new improved formula does have SiO2 in it according to the label, its just not as prone to water spots in my opinion.

303 beads like crazy. I tried it two weeks ago and look at it every morning on my daily driver.
