Guys the CHORUS / VIBRATO rocker switch is reversed, the RED side must be in the CHORUS MODE and the WHITE side in the VIBRATO MODE! yOU ARE WELCOME!

Exactly. I love this series but this is kind of an obvious thing. Chorus has the dry mixed in, vibrato does not. This video is spreading misinformation, and we need less of that. Also… tune that high-E string. Sorry.

The rocker switch is physically mounted upside-down in this one. The red side should be on the left. It's the chorus setting that everyone associates with the classic Uni-Vibe sound.

And my God what a sound he had at that show too♥️🙏! * I became friends with Juma Sultan who played congas with Jimi at that concert when I was younger - what a great guy and musician, my father put a phone in his house up in Woodstock and saw a big framed picture of him and Hendrix on the wall. He asked about it and Juma invited me to come by anytime to jam! I was so intimidated to go jam with someone who had played with Hendrix, but I wound up meeting him myself years later - wish I had went and jammed with him when first offered, it's all about having fun and making music.. Sorry for the book, but never miss an opportunity to jam with ANYONE, ya never know what ya might learn and what kind of great music you might make!! Much love 🎸

Loved the video, and people need to hear, that the idea of Uni Vibes being created to sound like a Leslie is a myth, started by someone who assumed it. The real story is so odd and amazing. Most use the Chorus, not Vibrsto. That pedal has its switch reversed. It’s doing the Chorus effect, when in the Vibrato mode. *the MXR was also in Vibrato mode(during the clean part), which is why it sounded nothing like the vintage one, in that clip. The fuzz with MXR still sounded like the Vibrato, and I’m pretty sure that’s why the light is on, in the corner. I haven’t had one in many years, and they have a more phasery sound, but I don’t understand how it’s not audibly obvious.

It was marketed in some places as a Leslie simulator, even though that was not the designers intention. Hence the myth.

Years ago the Experience Music Project museum in Seattle had an interactive box that let you turn off the effects on some of Hendrix’s songs. It actually wasn’t working and they had techs fixing it when I went into that room… turns out the box had actual pedals inside, including a Univibe (probably not an original)!

I’d love to own an OG Uni-Vibe, but I really dig my Fulltone Deja Mini Vibe - does a great job of getting the sound for a fraction of the cost.

Please, get guys who are knowledgeable about the uni vibes to play these pedals. To not know the switch is backwards from the sound is hilarious. Touring musicians would be ideal.

It works great before and after fuzz. I like it after all dirt, but sometimes I’ve put a second in front, just to have another Vibe tone available, and the ones with actual preamps push pedals well. I’m have it after a wah. I usually have it first in my modulation chain. Never in a send and return, but if the loop I loud enough, it will work there too.

Someone recently did a deconstruction of Hendrix's live setup during Live in Maui and he had it first in his chain before his Wah. Of course, it's up to you and how you like the way it sounds.

I put mine with the modulation effects near the end of the chain, just before time based delay and reverb.

Some fuzz works best right after the guitar, especially tone bender and fuzz face types. You can put a wah in front of those as long as the wah has a buffer circuit to make it fuzz friendly.

this guitarist is very weird , the most people who play with univibe play on chorus mode , he get an authentic uni vibe shin ei and he playd maybe 30 second on , with themxr it's the same this , i've seen many others youtubers said the same thing , please make us again a new video but with an another guy
