the scene is all too real for anyone who's witnessed spousal abuse. the husband is stressed and frustrated he isn't getting anywhere, time is wasting, and he's got writer's block... his wife becomes the target/source of his frustration, he gets even more angry with her (perceived) docile and weak personality. she becomes his mental punching bag which will eventually escalate into physical violence.

I’ve had several long term girlfriends, been married twice and none of my partners nor any couple I know had this dynamic. They were 100% the wife getting emotional, complaining. Shelly is an impossible dream. Literally no women are like she is to her husbands. She would be coming down to complain and nag that some of her friends husbands had bigger hotels to caretake.
@RaferJeffersonIII4 ай бұрын
In fact she wouldn’t have even come to him. She would have hollered “Jaaaaaack” every time she had a job to do, and if he had raised one word of complaint it would then be a tirade about how he left a coffee cup out three weeks ago and she had to pick up one of his socks while he spent 6 hours clearing the snow off the drive
