The more I listen to this song, the more it becomes my favorite rock song. Every note, every transition, every drum beat and flourish is perfect. And this particular performance is studio-recording tight. That's really hard to accomplish in a live performance. I saw them in concert on their Wincing the Night Away tour; they were in the pocket tight. Great band.

Looks and sounds like it is. Backing singer is credited as Anita Robinson on the Wikipedia page for the album, and on Google Images it looks like it's the same woman as in this video.
