Great video Xarkun, I agree with you somewhat. These days DDs are likely to push CVs so going toward your spawn and intercepting the enemy DDs would have been the higher percentage play. That said I don't think it would have guaranteed victory. Your teammates end scores indicate that they didn't play well regardless.

Agreed - Velos is NO MATCH for the T-8’s it faces (imho). It either needs a reload speed buff - or to be dropped to T-7, as it’s current stats are hardly scary or worthy of facing T-8 / Legendaries.

It’s a problem of them taking T10 ships from PC, which is their version of legendary tier, and making them T8 ships on console.

Guess you can always Monday morning quarterback the decisions made in battle but judging from the scores of your teammates this was going to be a loss regardless. I doubt that Lushun will be nerfed any time soon as I'm seeing lots of them played poorly in my battles. Just this morning had a player on my team abandon spawn and go CV hunting without giving spotting or cap control a passing thought and...he finished on bottom with less than 300 xp. You played well in a noble effort, GG👍

I agree with you that the point where you went after the carrier instead of contesting caps was the turning point. But with your teammates sinking you may not have been able to gain cap control. Hindsight isn't so clear this time.

I've enjoyed the lushun since the day I got it, and I'm not even a DD main lol. It's fire rate is just too fun. I've setup my lushun more for AP damage and penetration. Paired with the DD commanders base trait of ricochet angles, I feel it works quite well against BBs and cruisers

I mean, once you dispatched the Velos, your momentum already had you going the direction you went. Perhaps it would have been beneficial for you to reverse course quickly and head the other direction, but considering the rate that your potato teammates were sinking, it likely would not have changed the outcome. GG on your part.

OP it may be, but I hate the ship and cannot get a good game in it to save my life. I just don't get with it at all for some reason.

I don’t think you can blame yourself for the loss. (Please remember this throughout my comment) If you want things you could have maybe have done differently recognising you had the strongest DD in the game and being way more aggressive in the first cap. You could have easily killed their DD with the smoke sonar. They had no sonar DD so you could easily have 2v1 the DDs if that occurred. The lack of aggression is a what creates the need to chase the first DD to secure the flank. The position you find yourself in as the last DD then means your team has no screening but that’s more on the two dead DDs than you. At this point the odds are massively stacked against you, I think the route you took is most likely to be the fighting loss. If it turns out you have a couple extra players who can play sometimes you pull these ones out of the bag but more often than not it’s the go down swinging. The double back would have given you the ability to contest the caps perhaps take out their DDs earlier with your other sonar. No free damage from a carrier but more likely a win. (Early aggressive making this more feasible because you’d have been mid cap instead of pushing their spawn) So many games are lost in the first 3 minutes. 2 friendly DDs down and the enemy DD getting away from a far stronger ship even for an extra minute or two is basically game done without a few strong plays from the remaining team. I’m normally the first to promote smart knitting defensive DDs plays but that’s not how I’d play the Lushun in that lobby. I can completely understand why you did what you did at at each stage the lack of speed makes the turning back at your point way less viable but I think you knew you would be conceding cap control and most likely what chance there was of winning the game

You were boxed out of B because the zieten was there. Your B spawn dd sail all the way to C just to die. B was wide open and The zieten is dangerous in close quarters.... Also you might have seen the mini map, seen 2 kills, and it took you too long to clean up. Also your BBs followed you like puppies instead of trying to win.

This ship def needs to be nerfed. It’s at tier 8, but it’s highly competitive with legendary destroyers and arguably the best DD in the game. Idk what they’d need to do. Maybe nerf the heals and sonar range. Or, an even cooler change would be take away it’s smokescreen. I believe on PC it has no smoke, and that way the heals would make sense (as it needs them to stay alive while gunboating) and you have the excellent sonar to attack DDs in their smoke. Honestly, it’s just too good though. Needs significant changes, not an AL Chapa-sequel nerf

This match is a prime example of why I feel there needs to be a DD limit. When the other DDs on your team are potatoes and get themselves sunk early on, then the rest of the team is put at a considerable disadvantage. DDs are arguably your most valuable asset, and when they are foolishly wasted then it is very unlikely that their team can still win. This potentially disparity gets worse the more DDs there are; matches with 5 DDs per team have thier outcomes determined almost exclusively by the actions of those DDs.

You can have the best ship in the game and be the best player, but you can't carry hard enough to carry far too many teams in far too many matches it seems. They don't want to play objectives and besides hiding behind an island, unable to shoot, don't know how to preserve their HP

One sided matches are getting worse and a lot of players seems to be playing worse as the game ages which is supposed to be the other way around. This game has the most players that plays horribly I've seen my whole life. Seriously.

There are no op ships, otherwise Everly single player would play the same ship every game for the win. I’ll pick in destiny 2, e dry raid team has same, same, same. The only difference is the……..wait for it…… the Player😂
