Most service members with medical problems (except for very serious things) didn't always go to sick bay, so most of us who have any severe problems now, never had them documented because we never went to see any Doctors back then. Vietnam vet "66-68"

I believe the Gulf War is covered by this, along with a few other areas. My attorney contacted me and wants to pursue this exact issue in my case.

My husband had hypertension from agent orange but only got 0% rating. And he passed this past January with heart disease on his death certificate. Can I fill a claim to change his rating and would I get his disability pay. I don't understand all this so just thought I'd ask here Thank you

I suffered a Heat Stroke / Heart Attack in Kuwait 1996. I'm waiting on a reply on my claim. I thought that PRESUMPTIVE would carry some weight. Guess I was wrong. By the way VA refused to accept a claim for service connection disability in 96. Claimed my 38 yr service and Medical Retirement were in conflict. 24 years I've lived believ76ing that I had no benefits. I'm now trying to change ALL That at 76 years of age. I might have to turn to legal representation.

When I enlisted in the Navy, I was told I have a heart murmur. I was allowed to serve 7 years on active duty. I was stationed on a ship for a short time then I was sent to aircrew and rescue swimmer training and served the remainder of my enlistment as an Aircrewman. Later in life I learned that I was born with a bicuspid and had a CABG and AVR. Shouldn’t the Navy have required me to have more testing and potentially a waiver rather than allowing me to serve with no restrictions?

@@kmiller633 why won’t they give you medical records? Do you have private medical records cause the military always have your records in their database. Right now I’m in the process trying to get my claim service connected.

@@kmiller633 the Va should be able to get your records and I believe if you go to your VSO in your state they should be able to get them right there for you
