Interesting fact, Ralph Tresvant was known to not be a party goer in the industry. His solo career was probably capped due to such. The industry today is better setup for artist to just be independent using other avenues to push your content.

Great episode. That story about the signal on track 13 is eerie as hell. You should do another extended one. The people need to know.

So glad Jacci confirmed that at 57:00. I have sat back and read comments on her two singles from '92... "It Hurts Me" and "Skeezer" and countless people saying, "Her career shoulda been bigger" (of course they say this about a LOT of people), but when someone starts out with obvious label backing with multiple singles, music video budget, good production that costs money and then they get shelved -- and I know she got caught up in that shuffle at Motown when everything moved -- my thought is always, "Oh yeah, they got approached and didn't wanna play the game, so they got dropped or blackballed." Same in sports (Jameis Winston, most notably). And she has confirmed it on multiple interviews on here and when you see her IG over the last few years LMAO

WOW, I posted earlier and I was only about 30 minutes in, now Im near the end (watching in spurts) and hearing the rest is just showing how evil the industry is. This stuff has been talked about but this is so organic and we're hearing more of hiw wicked the industry and some artists truly are. They are being setup by the industry as idols to lead people astray and into more wickedness.
@MpatheticNtrusions4 күн бұрын
Too many NDA's when people are "trying" to explain what can't be seen. We know there is something wicked going on but we dont know exactly what it is but most of the people that got in the industry have signed non disclosure agreements so they beat around the bush and hint around but never really say. We see artist being murdered and record label benefiting from insurance claims. You have to do the Batamn detective act and put pieces together on all the clues they put out.

Thank you for the information.I'm new to this channel.This is why I didn't want to go further in the music industry or be famous.Alot of people in the industry is gay and to move up to $50M - $B mark. You have to give up something like a blood sacrifice.It's levels to it in the entertainment field. My advice is to stay independent.

I'm glad you found what was said helpful. It starts with the passion to make music and sing. The fame and fortune of the industry comes with a price.

But, this is the funny thing: The Music Business has been doing these things before we were born. So it ain’t gonna go away. We complain about the do’s & don’t’s, BUT we’re still in massa’s house!. It’s his house. He/She can do whatever they want!. The black artists that were on the inside, why didn’t they become a kind of Colin Kaepernick, who goes against the grain, study it, build their own, & each one, teach one. Anybody feel me, on that!?.
