That’s what I keep telling people. We aren’t going to see the true potential of the Pro until later on. Yes, these updates will enhance older titles a decent amount, but we haven’t given developers the time to design around the new hardware yet.

No it doesn't. I've played this game on the Pro and looks clearly better than the regular PS5. I'm getting 80 fps with everything cranked up.

You realize that the ps5 pro version runs at 90-120fps (100 average-115 inside buildings) and 80-110 (85 average-100 inside buldings) with ray tracing and hair strands on, on ps5pro, right? As for quality mode, the resolution goes from 1440p to 4k and runs at a near perfect 60fps with ray tracing and hair strands, while the base ps5 runs at a wonky 60fps with no ray tracing and hair strands. Oh and your brightness settings are different. Maybe make sure to make them the same next time. Edit: the more i rewatch the video, the more im convinced the ps5 pro footage is performance mode and ps5 is quality mode. I can literally see how the resolution is lower in up close shots of the uniform during gameplay

No both are running in resolution mode and also I turned off fast framerate mode on the PS5 pro. Now about the colors, I know I set the HDR in game to the same on both but I did have to fiddle with the PS5 pro console settings to to get HDR ready for it and I might of set it a bit different in it. For some reason the game wouldn't let me turn on HDR at first and had to get it set up in the PS5 console menu. Also I'm not too sure what's going on with gameplay but as you can se in cut scenes Leon is less blurry on the PS5 pro and in the scene where Ada saves Leon, you can see the tree behind her have more leaves on it. I don't know why it came out the way it did

The funny thing is : on another video the ps5 pro version looked warmer and more cinematic , but here the base version looked warmer but less accurate ,, i watched on 1080p and phone screen still can't see the difference of sharpness ,,, thats don't worth double the price ; i still haven't bought a console yet but if i go with the pro its gonna be because of the more accurate warmer looking i noticed on youtube comparisons ( but iam afraid its just youtube 🤔 ) .

Its because on the first test I thought I calibrated the hdr the same for both but it must of been off so when I did the seaparate ways test I recalibrated both again and yet there is still some difference in coloring. It might have to do with the fact that I recorded the PS5 footage at my house and had it pass thru to my samsung 4k oled tv and then when I recorded the PS5 pro footage I did it at my friends place because i don't own one. I brought the same desktop and and 4k capture card and just connected it to my desktop and passed it thru his lg 4k tv. That is the only difference so I guess that must be the reason for the difference in colors

The colors are the least important part to me. So many TV's will give you a different display. How ever what is important is that every thing is shaper on PS5 pro, better textures, and smoother framerate. I plan on making a ray tracing comparison video soon and you will see what an improvement the ps5 pro is

@@pawwojciechowicz it's like on base PS5 visually, there is nothing enchanced visually for the Pro from devs. The 120 Hz mode uses PSSR and looks not better.

Please don't mislead people. The game looks much better on ps5 pro. The resolution has been significantly increased. The image is much better, sharper and clearer. On ps5 is more blurry and soapy. Thanks to the combination of 40 fps 120 hz with pssr, the smoothness is much closer to 60 fps than to 40 as in other games using this solution. This game on ps5 pro has the best implementation of the 40 fps/120 hz mode of all games. It feels almost like 60 fps. On the base console, this mode doesn't work so well. Here it works better on pro than on rachet and clank on base ps5. This balance mode on ps5 pro is really great and this is the best way to play this game.

@pawwojciechowicz don't mislead people with what you say. I have a video and there is no 40 fps mode. It uses PSSR at 120 Hz at 864p, runs 70 to 90 fps with RT and hair strands and it's not better looking than the 60 fps modes that are unchanged rendering from base PS5. It's just the Pro hardware. Without this patch RE4 at 60 fps would be same like with this patch and it's the same checkerboard like on base PS5 but with a 60 fps lock and base PS5 fluctuates but therefor the game needed no patch. It's just the Pro on it's own. There ist nothing done from devs to enchance the game visually for PS5 Pro.

Star wars outlaws had same soft graphic problem and weaker ray tracing in ps5 pro. They might chose a lazy upgrade on it.

It's a scam dude. There is nothing enchanced for the Pro. The officially enchanced Pro version is not even the best looking console version. And Village they made worse at 60 fps and forced people to play an infior 60 fps mode on the better hardware. 😔

@TheRE4Channel I like the console but you rely so much on devs that even something improves on a game. Then they should give us a patch later but at least a little bit improved. The checkerboard rendering had critic on base PS5 too, so why not improve this or give the game at 60 fps better settings or better textures?

If this is what you want to point out this can easily fix by updates nothing to worry or shocking about this. even a fresh RTX 4090 that cost 2000$ can have an issue day one it can be patch the day after. dont let your day ruin by a simple issue here. even Cyberpunk that was trash back then has been fixed by CD Projekt 3 years after and people enjoyed the game. Enjoy your console, Pro or not, enjoy your PC, Xbox, switch, steamdeck etc. dont let someone ruin your day everyday they dont feed you. console wars and haters are miserable people that doesn't know what they want but will realize if real life slaps them hard.

to be honest, RE 4 looks WAY better on the pro. i am not judging you for your work here, but you can search for so many videos, where this is more than clear. your footage is the first i saw, where the normal ps5 looks better...

@flockelocke2297 not sure if your comment is a joke, or serious. Quick google search gives you tons of comparison sites, and everyone talks about the fact, that there are many differences in most resident evil games. RE4 especially. So, yes its a fact, ps5 pro feels and looks much better. 😂

This is nonsense what you say. The patch improved nothing visually and at 60 fps it would be the same without this "enchanced" patch with a better lock at 60.

most of the textures are better on PS5 pro, I have no idea what happened with the test in the dark forest but overall it looks much cleaner on PS5 Pro. Also the ray traced water looks better on PS5 pro. I would however not spend $700 on a PS5 pro myself just for a cleaner image and better ray tracing and framerate.
