I have someone in my family who is a sizeable 6'5" male who was in a toxic relationship with a woman who was around 5'1" and weighed about the same as a large box of toilet rolls. She had been in relationships with other men, much larger than herself. In one case a man was stabbed by her, but he was the one who ended up in prison, after his spell in hospital, because, well, he weighed 20 plus stone and she was barely 8 stone and so the fact she'd stabbed him must mean he was the one that was in the wrong. . . Surely?!?!? The relative of mine was warned not to entertain her yet he fell in love (lust), and though he towered over her he often returned to his mother's home in the middle of the night, covered in cuts and bruises, refusing to tell anyone what had happened. Give it a couple of days and he'd run back to her. Several years of this; of him being attacked by someone he could have killed just by looking at them the right way. He took it because he was embarrassed by it and "loved(?)" her. He said nothing. We kept warning him of her history. Reminding him of the numerous times he'd returned home covered in blood but, it had to be his choice. It was only after the woman attacked his mother that he finally gave up. But the attacks, physical and emotional continued for much longer. For this reason alone, I do not always assume the woman is the victim. I know it is not always the case.

Thank you for this. I'm in the middle of a case where a woman 20 years my senior is saying "He will kill me" and trying to get a protection order against me. I could not legally return to my own apartment for 20 days. All she had to do was cry and lie. When I finally came back to my apartment legally, she stole and damaged over $6,000 in personal belongings, included a priceless memory box with 10 years of my own letters. She left the heat on max and the freezer open with a raw piece of meat that attracted flies. She superglewed pillows too my leather couch and mats to the floors. Thousands of dollars worth of music production equipment is broken. She hired a criminal defense attorney after she left the apartment and before I knew what I would be coming back to. These past two months have been horribly stressful. I can hardly believe this person's tenacity and arrogance, thinking she can just lie and steal and destroy my things and somehow get away with it. The fact that she ever told me she loved me is just repulsive to me now. In her petition, she says I'm a sexist, homophobic anti-Semite who does not want women to have a choice in who they fuck or if they abort. It's all so absurd to me, but I'm afraid a young, liberal Seattle judge is going to side with her. I can hardly believe that I'm here.

Thing is, her lawyer says she left the country and has cut all communication ties with him, so there’s no way to serve her paperwork… Basically, she is getting out of this case relatively cleanly. I will probably not get a protection order against her, as much as it would be appropriate. But, she didn’t put one on my record, so I’m happy :) Would love my $6,000 dollars back, but you can’t have everything

This real life & very sad story is, in my opinion, so tragic due to three huge factors. First, the extreme lengths that Heard created to "support" her claims of domestic abuse which, were then exposed as her lies. Second, Heard's lies damaged women who's true cases of domestic violence were questioned as to the veracity of their claims. Lastly, the real vicious, and violent attack on Depp's character and integrity. A VERY SAD, and true story in the history of love, and the integrity and purpose, of marriage.

The reason it was such an upset is because male victims go against the cultural narrative that women, even when powerful, are still socially helpless and not a serious threat to man, even when violent. Women generally get shorter sentences for the same crimes men commit, they're let off for crimes that men wouldn't be, etc. The mainstream media was actually initially sympathetic to Heard, who positioned herself as a victim; it was really the fans, themselves, who were able to restore public good will to Johnny. Sadly most men who suffer from intimate partner violence won't be as lucky.

Recently on Twitter did state that due to the nature of the Civil Court System and the fact the Burden of Proof Requirement is so much lower than say Criminal Courts, both sides of this case do have some degrees of Plausible Deniability, and I got some Major Blacklash from that Statement.... From Ezra Miller Fans. I was making a point about the Celebrities Reputations and the Cult like Fallowing for Miller-Stans even tho there were videos of Miller Being Violent, and was comparing the Depp v Heard Case because there wasn't really much direct evidence to prove any Domestic Violence, at least Not Beyond a Reasonable Doubt, and basically saying Heard-Stans have a SLIGHTLY better position than Miller-Stans.

The trial exposed the fact that there are a great deal of double standards in society which cause male victims of DV & SV to stay silent rather than come forward & risk not being believed or worse being arrested as the aggressor. Female abusers often threaten to lie to the police because they know they are more likely to be believed. It also exposed the fact that male victims don’t have the funding, research, support or shelters available which is another reason not to leave since they have nowhere to go. Radical feminism has pushed a false narrative that DV is gendered when 1 in 4 DV victims are men. Your attitude is part of the problem men face. I am a woman & I want equality of the sexes. This is an injustice & Johnny Depp has done so much for male victims. He’s also got a large following of female survivors as a result of the trial who saw their abuser in Amber & felt vindicated by Johnny’s win. He had his day in court. Many did not.
