"Tonight just for a change...." that's flipping ironic. Mark Ripley introducing Pete Carr's friend Stuart baking a cake, that'd be "a change". Nice scope..... double trouble? Bliss!

That scope sure looks very nice indeed!! What I really liked was the list at the ond of the gear that you were using!! Plus where you got it from. I think that is outs! Thanks for your videos, really enjoy them! Cheers, Josh, New Zealand

As always fantastic video very well put together with spot on shots please can you tell what video camera you are using to get the green footage as I'm struggling to find one to record my shooting for KZbin thanks for sharing mark
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
Hi mate I’m using a Panasonic 4K camcorder which has an infra red mode on it with a built in ir which is ok for a few metres. For the further away footage I’m using an additional ir torch

hi great shooting as always what do you do with all the foxes you shoot
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
They usually end up in the farm dead bin or are buried on site

Mark, great shooting as usual,question what do you do with the shot foxes now that women do not wear fox furs ?
@gungapea88013 жыл бұрын
Might be a daft question to some, but, what do you do with the foxes once you’ve shot them?? Cheers pal 👍🏻
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately fox pelts are worthless these days so shot foxes go in the farms dead bin or are buried on site

Hi Mark, always love your videos! Can you tell me what camera you are using when to do your narration? Are you using an IR light to assist the camera? Apologies if this is a newbie question. Thanks.
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
Hi yes it’s a Panasonic 4K which is a surprisingly good camera for the money and can be used in infra red mode with its own onboard ir or as I did with the more distant footage, using an additional ir torch
@davebone83263 жыл бұрын
Do you reload for that rifle? Just being nosy.
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
No I leave my reloading gear all set up for the 260. As all night shooting ranges are sub 300 yards factory Ammo is more than good enough 👍

Very informative piece of video would love to know the difference between night vision and thermal there seems to be a massive difference in price but not sure about the difference in performance wonder if Mark has a email address or somewhere I can contact him to perhaps ask for further information cheers mark
@260rips3 жыл бұрын
Hi ok the difference is Nightvision uses an infra red light which the scope uses to illuminate the subject which to our eyes is invisible (except for a slight glow from the infra red torch) where as thermal uses the difference in temperature of objects to form an image (this is why as in this footage the foxes and rabbits glow brightly as it picks up their body temperature.) thermal is also invisible to everything, it gives off no light or infra red that humans or animals can see.

I love the show guys but, I can't hear what you are whispering to the camera, so even after I crank up the volume I can barely make out what you are saying, then the normal volume outro music comes on and I nearly get blown away. So please editor adjust the volume of the clips. I know it is a little more work but it makes such a great difference.
