The Short XC Spike Guide 2024

With so few real options for xc spikes many athletes have turned to track spikes in search of better options for xc courses. In this guide I quickly go through a few of my favorite options for xc next year but if you want something more in depth I'll have a much longer video coming out next week!

fr bro, I just finished my track season in brooks spikes and they felt so responsive and light, the only thing that makes me not want to buy more of them is because the spikes are irreplaceable

Would be cool if you got your hands on the On Cloudspike Amplius, and compared it to the On Cloudspike 10000m. I have only used the Dragonfly, but I am considering the On Amplius or 10000m.

@@SupwellTrack what are the differences between the Cloudspike 1500m and the Citius? If the new spikes are very similar to the old ones I might consider the 10000m, just because they are a tiny bit cheaper

@@MrEirik3000 So main differences I can tell so far is that the foam feels a lot softer underfoot. Amplius seems to be lighter and more like the 10000m. Citius has more foam but both have plates that are very rigid. The toe box is also much bigger so I’d recommend going down half a size

Oh also stack height is higher on both compared to the 10000m

You got to try the dragonfly 2, it’s just feels like if the dragonfly met the flyx, it has the perfect amount of foam and the plate is a bit more stiff than the original, it’s just kinda a flyx without all the stack

@@cadenmontini6811 you can get them at dicks so you can try them in store and if you don’t like the feel you don’t have to get them but I had to get them because they’ll probably sell out of the colorway before my track season rolls around

Would the dragonfly 2s be good for xc? The thing holding me back is the only 4 spikes

@@Leafygreen41 they’ll probably be fine as long as you aren’t on any crazy courses, the have small bumps along the plate which may help a bit too

Damn I’m lowkey between dragonfly 1-2 or on cloud 10k or xc version, as someone whose only worn Nike xc spikes or dragonfly’s does anyone have recommendations

I’d go dragonfly 1 or cloud 10k but on’s about to drop some new spikes too👀 I’d steer clear of the on xc spikes unless you don’t want a plated feel though
