I am surprised and very happy with you, you are seriously embracing this Portuguese adventure. I believe that in a few more months I can write in Portuguese with you no longer English🤗🤗

Thanks so much. It’s an enriching experience to learn about Portuguese culture and language😊 Please write Portuguese and we will try to understand without Google translate 😅😅😀

Thank you, it has been 4o+ yrs since I learned French and that was structured. I had forgotten had difficult it was. I am dyslexic and work just a little harder towards my challenges. I have to listen to sounds and then I make post its of the words I am learning and place them around the house. That's my strategy towards Portuguese.

Mia is an excellent teacher! Languages can be difficult for those with learning challenges... such as auditory or visual learning disabilities... but it just means a lot more work but eventually you can get by.

Glad you like it Jen. Yes, languages can be hard to learn, which is also why we try to cover it from different ways such as interviewing Mia. We all have personal learning journeys, some challenges etc and some times just the commitment to learn it - so Mia is a definite asset to anyone's journey in learning the language :)

Languages can be tricky to learn. However, there are some tricks to learn and recall vocabulary. Have you ever heard about spaced repetition, association techniques?

@@JenShea Watch my first two videos. There are ways to remember better words. Take advantages of false cognates; and homophones words. You can connect your old knowledge with new knowledge. It must make sense to you, not me. For instance, the word " Linda" is beautiful in Portuguese. Say to your imaginary friend " Linda" Hey Linda, you are Linda. ( Gorgeous). I see words like puzzles. You can train your brain to remember better words, idioms, set pharaes by associating what you already know with new knowledge. Remember " Your knowledge is limited, however your imagination and creativity is unlimited. Use your imagination to learn. I wish schools taugh kids to learn stuff by using their imagination and creativity. Absurd and illogical stories can also help. Research this topic. Educate yourself and you will be surprised how much you can learn on your ur own. Be autodidact like me.

@@Theyoutuberpolyglot Ah, I see. Yes, what you are describing is what I'd say helps me the most. (I haven't been in school in 40 years, terms & terminology change & then again, my memory isn't what it was 40 years ago :)

Hello, can I apply for a long-term residence visa as a remote worker working for a business consulting and management company in the United States? If so, is it D2 or D7 or other types?

Hi Jason We can’t offer visa advise :) I suggest you contact the Portuguese embassy in the country you are based to seek advise :) Good luck
