The difference between -10 dBV (consumer audio) and +4 dBu (pro audio) is actually around +11.8 dB. Note that dBu and dBV are referenced to a different nominal 0 dB level.

That Marty seems like a real enthusiastic gentleman. Shame you couldn't do a longer video with him, because he seemed to have a lot on his mind, and was good about explaining it. As for the Phonitor 2, it looks to be an amazing and very flexible device. Hope I'll hear it some day. As for these types of videos, I hope you do something about your audio setup to get rid of all the ambient noise and getting more of the interviewee. Why not the wireless G3 microphone system from Sennheiser or something like that? :)
