In this video we're checking out The Showstoppers. We received a request for this, and many others, after we stumbled across a song associated with the Northern Soul movement. It's fascinating to us that there were regular dances at local clubs throughout parts of England based around this incredible music. We're more than excited to hear what this group is all about. The b side what a man can do was the main northern soul side this charted twice in the U.K. no 11 in 1968 and no 33 in 1971 there is a top of the pops clip from 1971

I'm shocked that there's not a single mention of the J. Geils Band cover of this. I guess I'm definitely in the minority as a Yank here. I've known this for a long time, and it is a great party starter. The Showstoppers killed it here. Great upload.
