Thanks for the video! Amazing job! I purchased mv7 plus about 2 weeks ago, And I am more than pleased with this quality. I am working as a boxing commentator for DAZN from home and needed the best option via usb possible, and it worked out perfectly.

You definitely picked the best quality usb for the job. I’m super curious to know how it handles plosives in your work? Do you need to add any additional pop filters?

@randyrektor nope, I just switched on digital popper stopper and real-time denoiser, and the team which controled the broadcast said that everything was sounding good

Great review, man! I've been thinking whether I should refresh my SM7B and replace it with the MV7+. Not that I have issues with it, but I've gotten so used to its sound it's starting to sound "stale" 😁

Thanks Lazar! Honestly they are pretty darn close in build and sound. Both relatively flat and a decent starting place. I find both of them require a little EQ to sound nicer, but that’s easy enough

@@randyrektor What I keep coming back to and re-tune it is the noise gate. I can't seem to tune it so you don't hear it kicking in. You should make a video on it!

Great video ! would you go for the MV7+ or the Rode Podmic usb for gaming/streaming?

Thanks man! I have no experience with the podmic, but what I love about the Shure is that the mic remembers your settings from the MOTIV Mix app, so you don’t have to run additional software every time. It can do it all in the mic. So in your game you can just set “Shure MV7+” as your input (instead of “MOTIV Mix App”) and then you get all your baked in effects and processing

Hi man ! The issue with usb quality is corrected now ? I saw many people complaining about the difference between xlr and usb on the MV7+

The XLR quality is definitely better but that’s to be expected. I don’t have any gripes with the USB quality though. I think the issues people were discussing are a thing of the past

@@randyrektor ok nice ! Podcastage spoke a bit about it in his test in the comment section. He talked to shure and they were investigating but no news since then ! However, I want to use this mic for discord so I tihnk it will be good enough
