The instrument cluster looks fantastic and I was curious how you would make it all fit with no holes in the plate. Well done. As for the switch plate I would urge you to re-consider the mounting behind the shifter. With the seat in, belted in, and helmet on you will never be able to see the buttons. A custom panel in front of the shifter within arms reach is the way to go here. Just be sure it is biased a little towards the passenger side or it could interfere with your right leg when driving.

Your centre lock hubs are certainly beautiful, as are the wheels on the M1. Your welding skills look to be improving. When machining alloy on your lathe use paraffin as a coolant/ lubricant, you will get a much better finish

The center locks are awesome. I also love all of your CAD work. This car is amazing and the more I see it the more I want it. You talk about some people not liking the documentary style of your videos, but I feel it makes for much better content. I really like how you explain everything, even the smallest stuff. Not everyone knows how to do, or why something has to be done the way you do it. For me, its a invaluable tool. I, myself, and building a 1988 Pontiac Trans-am widebody. I made a custom tube dash with VDO gauges, new wiring harness, and lots of other stuff. Now I get to figure out how to do the widebody. I want 6" in rear and 4" in front (each side). Again, I love your content and I am so thankful that you share it with us.

Great stuff as always! Bracket for the ECU looks great and the new 16 to 20 fitting adapter has nicer welds than I could ever do. Those centerlock adapters are absolutely gorgeous, I'm really glad you included a segment on them! I'm always a big fan of great design work.

Regarding that location of the control panel, sit in the seat before you build that mount. I own a couple of cars that have controls in that area and I'm always hitting them unintentionally. Also, if those are buttons you will be wanting to press while driving, that's not an ideal location to be diverting your attention to. Just some thoughts. Keep up the great work!!

The can pads I found a trick solution to to have easy reachablility with no accidental button hitting. You can get Outdoor electrical outlet covers that a hinged and clear, with a little carving it make a nice hinged cover you can see thru. You can also build your own, but the nice little springs in the latch of he electrical boxes keeps it shut tight. *Keypad covers can work too*

Holy crap bro you are like macgyver with your solutions, it’s so impressive to watch. When you were selecting a place for the button layout I had already gone there in my head before you suggested the placement. I can only image where you will be in 6 to 12 months with your welding and other skills and as your confidence increases. Please keep going as your producing skills are amazing. Could you please colour match the bumper and do the white LED light bar, thinking less 80s and more CyberTruck / CyberPunk. Porsche single red break light across the back of the car looks dope. I like the round classic look of the Ferrari round lights too so you got options. Maybe just LED rear lights and make them a deep red to hold onto iconic lines and defining looks. I can only image how look this project will look in low light as you roll around the body with a sunset in the background. I know you trying to finish it but please pull back a touch and say this solution works but can I make it look cooler, more simple and refined and flow into those body lines better. Really only talking about the 1% here, I hope you feel me. Love from Melbourne Australian.

I’d definitely recommend making a bracket to support the -16 to -20, unless that’s what you meant by water pump bracket. That’s a lot a free weight and leverage hanging off the end and the vibrations will make it break.

Couple of questions: 1.Can the holes for the ECU possibly make the firewall less fireproof? Or do these old cars not have safety measures against engine fires? I think it's a must have when you go racing right? Might even be in the rules...? 2. Are you going to fit a roll cage? You might have already told that but I haven't been able to watch every minute of every video 3. Are you going to keep the car yellow or paint it? If so have you decided on a colour, or is that something you'll think about at a later stage of the build? 4. Can your new fittings (from 20 to 16) maybe cause a change to the way the fluids flow through the pipes? Maybe cause too much pressure where the pipe goes narrower? 5. Are you going to cover up the insides of the wheel wells so you don't see where the body kit meets the original body? Or maybe cut away the original body? Hope to hear from you 😇

The bracket for the ecu can be installed and held into place with rivets from the inside, then it wont have to be held up by hand. When the ecu is mounted the real weight will then be on the bolts.

Awesome episode. You should drill some lightening holes in the dash bracket since you made it out of heavy steel rather than lighter aluminum. You don’t want the weight balance of the car to be disrupted by the large amount of weight. Also you might want to look at how the center of gravity will be adversely affected by having that much weight up so high. Other than that, good job and keep it up. By the way, I’m not an engineer but I did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night. So…

Firewall. For the ecu mount. Weld bolts to the plate going in the car. Studs mounts. Then grind the heads so no one will know

For the control panel, could you use some risers from the shift lever mounting bolts, and mount the control panel to that? Easier to get at and avoids getting in the way of the shift cable Like the ECU mount, but I was expecting you to mount the threads the brace, with the nuts on the inside after the threads pass through the ECU
