Rocinha now is a city in itself. I don't know if it's true that whole families live on 16 dollars a month at Rocinha. Maybe at some other favelas. Rents at Rocinha are at least 100 dollars.

@@dolydoly5679 I get you, you have a very clear point, all you said about Brazil's history it was true! But please dont say you don't like his videos, they said they were just showing from their point of view mixed with his thoughts about it. It's much better if they see, live and in colors what is like a real favela, be presented to the real routine than just keeping the eyes closed to their reality and don't show to the rest of the world that there's human beings in there, every single one with different lives living and surviving how they can, this video can open the eyes of those who have forgotten about this people!

@user-rv9um5xc3r3 жыл бұрын
@@xande9957 It's incorrect because of the judgment, because he is being pety. By his point of view, favela's shouldn't offer tours because he is ashamed of his own history. So let's say people would actually hear his opinion, what would be the outcome? Favelas would be less seen therefore more forgotten. The direct effect would be that Carlos, the tour guide, would be unemployed and there would be less cash inflow thanks to the lack of tourists. But who cares about that? What really matters is that a false moralist can lie down comfortably knowing favelas aren't any european tourists "exploiting" the favelas. Great logic.

Hey... Brazilian here. Hope you guys felt all the possibilities and strength our beautiful country has to show! And thank you for showing our country with respect and true excitement.. not like a bunch of gringos that come just to see "how exotic the third world is". And of course: please come back! I challange you guys to come to my state: Mato Grosso do Sul and visit Pantanal, one of the largest ecosystems in the world (that's being destroyed by our criminal goverment). Brazil and açaí will be waiting for you guys (:

I think they come here just to look for what is poor, more poor they cam find any other place, and lies to when he said that people in the favelas makes $16 dollars a month what a big mistake this was.

If you guys come back, I very much suggest you go to the cities of Lençois and Mucugê in the Chapada Diamantina here in Bahia! They're beautiful cities, and they've got lots of nature-related things to do, like exploring caves, mountains, lakes, and cool natural formations! Also, I'd suggest going to the coastal cities north of Salvador, like Porto Seguro and Praia do Forte. There are lots of beautiful beach towns, and in Praia do Forte you can visit Projeto Tamar, a marine conservation non-profit that shows a lot of stuff about sea turtles and stuff, it's a really interesting experience!

Guys, next time you come here you must travel to Belém do Pará. Besides its unmatched culture, cousine and natural beauties (in the middle of amazon rainforest), they have the truly, original açaí, it's unlike anything called açaí you ever tasted in your Brazil trip, as outside the north brazil they use to blend açaí to make some kind of smoothie or ice cream, but in reality its taste is strong and earthy. In Pará they even use it in savory dishes. Worth it.
