15:45 Name "Mısır Çarşısı" refers to Egypt because the goods sold in the bazaar had been brought from or transferred from ports of Egypt in 17th century onwards. In this century of course they come from everywhere to Turkey directly. In Turkish mısır means corn and Mısır means Egypt.

Merhaba Abi, that was a great walk...just like being there. I could almost taste those figs. I hope you will travel to other areas of Turkey.. I would love to see your detailed perspective of cities like Samsun, Trabzon, Rize, Konya just to name a few. We need a detailed view of not just the biggest cities, but also mid size to very small villages. I have been there before and can't wait to get back again, soon. Take care, from Washington state USA

When I was a student in Istanbul, I used to live in Eminönü. This area of Istanbul is very interesting because you always think that there will never be fewer people in Eminönü. But after midnight, there's nobody left on the streets. I used to feel scared when returning home after having fun with friends in Kadıköy. :D

06:49 The mosque you pass by is Rustem Pasha Mosque. Who is Rüstem Pasha? Son-in-law of Sultan Suleiman and Hürrem Sultan mihrimah sultan's husband... Rüstem Pasha had his mosque built in the place where there was trade, because he had a lot of connections with merchants and did business with them. The ceramics and workmanship in his mosque are the most beautiful ceramics and workmanship.

I’ll be in Türkiye 🇹🇷 in a month and staying 90 days, I’m going to visit my ex boyfriend’s parents as they have been struggling and my ex cannot visit them because his wife doesn’t want him to be out of the country for 3 months. I will be taking care of them and taking them out, your video really helped me come up with ideas of where I can take them… I hope it is not weird and people (neighbors) don’t gossip on what a foreigner (man) is staying with them and taking them out. I don’t want to bring shame to their family… I hope all goes well.
