Sadly, what we can see in this video is that movement in Santo Domingo is completely dependent on cars. Save a couple of neighborhoods, Santo Domingo is not a walkable city, and that's the root of a lot of its current problems. It takes a lot of urban planning and development work to create a walkable city. The Manhattan grid was commissioned in 1811, Chicago in 1834, Paris in 1853, Barcelona in 1859 and Singapore in 1965
@NorberisR3 жыл бұрын
@@HarryPujols This is very untrue. You see people walking everywhere here. Not sure where you get your information but you are wrong. This was Sunday and many businesses don't open on Sunday. Any other day the streets would be filled with people walking. Its obvious you've never been to Santo Domingo or you would have never made this comment.

If you can have a map that you can offer to people that shows everywhere that you just had in the video and other places throughout the country that people can see including your real estate property areas it would probably be a nice way people to to know maybe an interactive kind of map that they can drive back and forth and see the exact locations maybe any other businesses you have like you a little restaurant you think you have and that would be awesome nice too we can drive by and you know stop and say hello even if people are interested in investing in property they can stop by and look at the location and maybe even you know make an appointment to see you that could be beneficial for the people who like to watch your shows and maybe also been busy and easy for you to make profit too. Hola! Tengo familia en San Cristobal! 😁😁 Hey I’m stuck in Huntsville, Alabama. I was wondering what company did you work for when you lived in that city?

I agree. The locals need to get out more often from their own neighborhoods.

Are US tourists curently required to test for covid 19? Santo Domingo and Santiago Maroquis locations you recommend?
@NorberisR2 жыл бұрын
US till required a negative covid test to enter the country. You can do this test at Laboratorias amaditas or referencias and also you can get it for free en Salud Publica which is our health department public institution.

Noberis, this is not going to be your average comment, but advice would be greatly appreciated. My husbands cousin wishes to leave the DR to go to the US because she is having difficulty finding work in the DR. I explained that the US isnt as easy as people think, and the sense of community is lost when you go there. I dont want to completely shatter her dream, but id love for your advice or recommendation on what to explain to her. What should she expect as a dominican woman, limited english, limited funds.. going to the United States to look for work? Is it a good idea? Or is she better off waiting it out here to find something? She went to college here, and has a degree.. but i dont know if in the US her degree would help.. any advice would be very appreciated 🥰

It depends on a person's goals whether its a good or bad idea. I'll just tell you my experience when it was presented to me it was a good idea because of the similar reasons although I had job it was not enough for what I wanted in my life However, I quickly realized as you mentioned working in the US was not as easy as Dominicans think. I also had a college degree and limited to no English. This makes your your opportunities limited to because you degree is not transferable to the US. So you are basically starting at bottom. So I recommend that a person has a plan either 1) go there and work save and return back to DR with enough money to buy a house and start a business or 2) if you don't plan to return be prepared to fully immerse in American in order to get the full benefits of what America has to offer. That means learn English and develop a skill or go to school to make yourself marketable. If not then you are just working to survive.

My ex Filipina wife worked as a housekeeper in central park west her salary was $700/week. Many rich non famous people live in New York Midtown and hire multiple nannys and house- keepers as live out 8-5pm or live in if you so desire. If she has a college education and speaks some English she will do well and those jobs are extremely non public not advertised in newspapers. For an executive job in New York she will be competing with many qualified English speaking people from middle America, Europe, Asia and India so it may be a little harder, although Sales jobs are always available if she is a good sales person.

@@NorberisR yes clean nice modern rooms, comfortable beds, good service, and the restaurant provides room service. Just doesn’t have the best view because it’s on a back street lol

Hi, do you have a video of apartments close to the beach and if you might have some possible prices for long rentals

There are no beaches in Santo Domingo, only reefs, but Boca Chica is only 30 minutes from the city. The most important cities in Latin America do not have beaches due to the poor security against invading enemies for the colonizers.
