The little things... the lighting really enhances the deck at night!!! The siding looks great and also having the gravel instead of the dust (mud in the winter/spring) makes such a difference. You've really come a long way in a short amount of time!

The siding looks great. I was only just reading about birds and they were saying not to forget the water bath, located under a tree for some protection, so they can wash and drink, especially in Summer. They were saying that out of providing food or water, the waterbath was most important. You do have to clean the waterbath regularly, though.

I share in your excitement in completing the siding. I have built many buildings etc over the years and there nothing quite like getting the exterior finish completed, as it transforms the entire look of the project. You have worked long and hard and should sit, lean back and admire your accomplishments. The drone shots at the end show just how nice everything looks. Great job Nick and Jen!! It would be a good idea to seal the end of that beam. The end grain is splitting. Painting it white would got with the trim and the soffit which I assume will be white. The siding looks great.

Like your content. Pro tip next project use a 1-1/2” deep octagon box for your exterior light fixtures. The siding blocks have a 4” round score line to cut out. The fixture screws will work better because the mounting screws will be brought out flush with the siding block. BTW nothing wrong with thunder thighs 😂
