We all remember the iconic tire swing from the early years of BARNEY in the 90's, but where did it go? And was there a deeper meaning? Today we look at the history of this particular set prop.

cool thing i never noticed until this video: the rainbow on the tire swing has the first five colors of the rainbow (red orange yellow green blue) EXCEPT purple, and that's because the barney doll IS the purple in the rainbow! also, just really nice to see someone who cares as much about the tire swing and rainbow shot as me! keep up the cool vids

I used to have a tire swing in my backyard and I always put my favorite Barney plush on it and would also try to pose it precisely like the Barney and Friends plush only to pull the Barney plush off to play with it until it would either rain or I got bored and went to watch A Day At The Beach with my Barney plush. One thing to bring up is that even though the tire swing shot from season 1 remains the same in the season 2 intro, if you pay attention, the only thing they changed was the wink effect. A lot of people don’t notice this, but I thought it’d be nice to bring up :)

Yeah it does kind of wished that we could’ve seen the whole thing and it would’ve been really fun and nice if they had been some episodes takes place at the kids’s houses and the other places too instead of the school all the time and they could’ve even made the park more interesting and cool. Like add a bigger playground and remove the the caboose and put in a actual clubhouse or make the caboose a little more better you know. what you would’ve added to the park setting if you could?

I have an idea for another barney movie it's called "it's a Super-Dee-Duper life!" It's basically "it's a wonderful life" but with barney as the main focus.

@@sarahsims6164 I know it's been awhile but here's a rough draft of the plot: Barney the Dinosaur discovers the massive backlash against him, leaving him so depressed and heartbroken to the point that he wishes he was never born. His guardian angel shows him what everything and everyone would be like without him. I would like to hear your opinion on it and if you have any advice for what can be improved feel free to respond.

Too bad after season 3 as well for the intros they don't show the kids walking to the barney doll and then coming to life.

I like your theory! He's definitely in my imagination in at least one sense - with the weakness of Polish currecny, it doesn't make a lot of sense for me topay for a Bob West video on Cameo. But I can have a connection with Barney as an adult in my imagination - that's what he'd like best, right? 🙂

Fun fact: Many tire swings for other kids’ shows were used throughout the years, like PB&J Otter (in the episode Butter’s First Check Up), Sesame Street and Blue’s Clues

After watching this, I’m now assuming that the last shot at the end of “Treasure of rainbow beard” is just a reminder, saying “Just to remind you all who are watching this series as you go forward; just remember that something like what the kids experience in this episode can happen to you at some point cuz Imagination thrives NOT in this school area but ANYWHERE IN YOUR WORLD!! Barney is always THERE! *echoing* Looking at that scene of Barney with a creepy “Pennywise” smile on his face at the end kinda makes him look like a stalker If putting it according to the remark I just made.
