Charlie’s case made me so so sad. The part where he was speaking to the lady and she walked away but he didn’t notice so kept talking just made me almost cry. Also the fact that he is a black cab driver is really incredible. It takes a lot of work and a high intellect to earn a place in the black cab service. You basically have to memorize the entire map of London.

I’m always amazed at how polite and compassionate the staff and patients are. After spending a few hours in the ER with my Dad, and the bluntness of the doctors, I would appreciate such a statement as he is very unwell, and would I like a cup of tea. The anxiety level would be greatly reduced.

But the Nurse trying to wake up Peggy seems a bit rude in this moment…. or am I just to sensitive?
@Julie86Mac
@Julie86Mac 5 ай бұрын
As an EMT i can tell you that sometimes we may come across as "rude" when it is more urgency. when you realize your patient is not progressing but digressing, it's time to get serious. We are stern because we are trying to get a response from the patient. we aren't there to be their friend, we are there to save their lives.@@Barbarawr
@sheilafurguiel3202
@sheilafurguiel3202 5 ай бұрын
@@BarbarawrHi, answering this after 5 months, you probably don’t remember your comment, yes and no, to the way he treated her, he was reacting to her slow response after the woke her up after putting her in a coma. Since she wasn’t responding to his commands, and not replying, we usually then put pressure on a spot where it’s pretty painful, and the patient will usually cry out in pain, something she didn’t do, so, that means that she is semiconscious, doesn’t react to pain, but doesn’t need help to breathe. I do agree that he was a bit insensitive by the way he was moving her head around, luckily she is semiconscious, and luckily if l was a relative and saw what he had done, l would have given him some words in ltaliano and being a nurse myself in a Hospital In California, in the A&E. Worked in a hospital in Stoke on Trent, Hanley for three years a loooong time ago. Don’t ever get sick if you are in America, first, have a very good insurance for everything. Pain relief, forget it, right away, you will be propped and prodding everywhere, even though we see that you have broken bones, injuries internally, we need to find out where the most serious injuries are, so we know what to treat first. It’s horrible listening to the pain there in, and we know that the longer they are in pain, in can effect the heart, because your blood pressure skyrockets when you are in a lot of pain. We have two Doctors l hate working with, two ice cold individuals who don’t have a clue what empathy is, and it’s like they enjoy flicking as much pain they can on most patients, and we have had our words in private and sadly, sometimes when other doctors and nurses are around, because they respect him to much and know how powerful he can be, but luckily in those situations, they have backed me up if l get a call into a certain office we don’t like to visit 🤣🤣, been their for 28 years, him, six years, so, they don’t want to lose me. I like watching this, the environment, it’s sooooo totally different, we deal mostly with shootings, stabbings, house fires, sadly rising, child abuse, leading to death. I know in England, knife crime is rising. This was a long reply to a short question, sorry about that. Do you live in England or America, just curious, don’t have to reply.

I was sent for a CT scan to look for the cause of trigeminal neuralgia. The CT scan showed nothing. A year later I demanded to be sent for an MRI scan to look for the cause, and it showed what the cause was. I then had brain surgery. The MRI also showed that I had MS which I had suspected for along time. I'm glad that I demanded the MRI.

It's not even a current boyfriend; she's got a husband! I wonder if Ben left her bc of similar behavior with an earlier ex? Although, he's a bit shallow regarding his current girl, putting up with her for good sex. Sex is NOT everything & the sooner he learns that the better. I was in a 15 yr relationship & for the last 5 yrs, due to circumstances, there was no sex, but I didn't love her any less. A lot of our relationship had more to do with our personalities, not the physical. Was the sex good? Yes, very! But it wasn't what we built our relationship on.

Charley's daughter-in-law has no idea what she's talking about. 😂 He's not missing part of his brain, it's just being bled into & isn't working right! Just bc she saw the dark area on his scan, she's assumed there is no brain there. Bleeding can destroy brain function, as can pressure if there's swelling. Hopefully the drs will catch & correct her assumption!

I remember visiting my Great Gran, during the 'mad-cow' period in the UK, and one thing I will always remember was her watching the tv and exclaiming, "Oh, those poor mad horses!" It was one of the first things we noticed, in her mental decline. She passed at 97. 24:16 Govts and big institutions are waiting eagerly for Peggy's generation to die. Their plans such as bank closures, digital currency, and phone based payments are being prevented from rollout due to so many of the "previous generation" being alive. Additionally, "Smart" cities and the planned abolition of personal car ownership are further hindered. Many govt workers are remote, from home, and go into to the office maybe once a week. And even then the reality is they are just "Coffee and cake". I know these meetings from personal experience. They are generally "good news" meetings and people clap, and eat their cake. When the news comes that Peggy's generation is 1% or below, this will be the "good news". There will be clapping, low key cheers, laughter. There may be singing.
