Happy holidays and I hope you had a happy Chanukah. I love that sign in The Hayseed which read something like 'Don't go to the city to get cheated. Buy here'.

Excellent. I hadn't seen The Hayseed before, and always enjoy watching Charley Chase and Noah Young. Many thanks and have a good Christmas and 2024. Edinburgh, Scotland, UK.

Ben, Steve and the rest of the crew, I say from the bottom of my heart - you all rock. Happy Holidays and thank you again for the wonderful and informative episode. Always nice to revisit Buster and Roscoe and that Chase short I have never seen until now. That’s really saying something as I have seen a lot of Chase shorts. I too was wondering about the lady on the dance floor in THE HAYSEED. Momentarily, I thought perhaps a dummy but I didn’t notice any cuts and later in the shot it was quite obviously a live person. Very impressive work.

Thank you so much Ben, Steve, Mana, Susan, Marlene and Crystal for another year of great shows. I had not seen The Hayseed before and it was charming. It was great to see There Ain't No Santa Claus again - didn't Mickey Bennett play Charley's son in No Father to Guide him? The little girl was adorable also. Happy Holidays to all!

Really nice to see a Christmas themed silent comedy. I'd love to get Randy Skretvedt's new book about March of the Wooden Soldiers since I adore that film.

I remember you showing "There Ain't No Santa Clause " as part of a Christmas showing. So.....I have a notebook & take notes on EVERY show since the begining. I looked through my notebook, & it was not Feb 2021.....it was December 20, 2020 that it was on the Watch Party. It followed A Shadowed Shadow & the WP started that day with Sure Mike!( why didn't Martha Sleeper get more staring roles? She was fantastic!

I heard that there was a silent movie actor Harrison Ford, which was Harrison Ford of recent times first billed himself as Harrison J. Ford to not be confused with the silent actor .

There was - he was kind of a light comedy leading man who worked with leading ladies like Marion Davies and Marie Prevost.
