And I second the documentary "without my shadow". It delves into the true story.

I read this book many years ago and I often thought of theses twins so glad this story has come to light.

I just watched this movie. What an interesting and intriguing mystery. I think its a tale old mystery of twins and twin telepathy. I also believe Jennifer was mentally ill and her strong attachment too her twin caused both of them trouble. June Loved her twin just as much and didnt want to do anything to hurt her. They took Ride or Die to a literal meaning. As twins theyre realtionship was super deep. It doesnt seem theyre parents disciplined them much either. If you don't discipline your children the justice system will, and we all know how that goes. This story really makes you think. I'd like to read the book.

Have you watched the documentary Without my Shadow. I watched the documentary before I watched the movie. I enjoyed the movie but I think the documentary was a better watch. Just my opinion

Nothing is said about them being bullied at school as being the only black children in the class. They also talked too fast and had some accents which also caused them to be bullied. Imho the main reason for them to be silent is that school

They were the only black children in class, but what about their other siblings? Were they the only black children class too? Were they bullied?

Absolutely fantastic assessment that these girls, Just Needed Help. I hate almost everything about what you will find about them. It's tragic that they are portrayed as evil. Even now, after the movie, reviewers/reactors bring up that they are evil/creepy. Second note. Arson is not a minor thing. Even though no one was really hurt other than a fire fighter and maybe one other. People Could Have died. Or in the case of my firefighter uncle who is permanently disfigured because his helmet melted to his head battling an arson fire. They're lucky no one did die and their silence on the matter made the courts believe they were cold and unfeeling about it. Like sociopaths maybe even psychopaths. They weren't those things but that's what the courts saw. Their silence was used as a weapon to protect themselves until it didn't protect them and in fact made it the very reason they were institutionalized. You touched on them being jealous of one another but one thing I might have missed if you said it or not. They were also highly competitive towards each other. I picture that the pact of silence they made had a lot to do with competition. Who would break the silence first. That's just speculation, based off they one scene where they were going on about, "You moved..." "No I didn't move!" "You moved!". It's really too bad that June didn't have the strength to break away but at the same time Jennifer did have the strength to release her even if it meant her death.

It just seems that there was little to no compassion when you were speaking about Jennifer. Your comparison review is okay until you start to speak about Jennifer it sounds almost like you were glad or relieved that she died, like she was the evil twin and I'm glad she's gone so the other one can live. I don't see understand this since you yourself said that these are two human beings and that they were obviously mistreated by all three systems (mental health, health and the justice system of wales). Racism is all over this story. Let's just remember when we are talking about human beings to make sure to not be insensitive. Jennifer had a life that mattered as much as her sister's or anyone else's and if they would have received the proper care and support that they needed she probably would be still be alive today.

I'm sorry if it sounded that way because that wasn't my intention. In June's diaries she says she is glad Jennifer died so I was quoting her.

Marie, you totally misunderstood. You must've been daydreaming through most of this review because everything you said doesn't apply to this reviewer. She was quoting June's descriptions, not her own. Go listen again, please.

I know I talk too fast in some of my older videos 😬 Now I try to focus on slowing down, so hopefully in my newer videos that has improved.
