There’s a fine line between being a considerate, caring person and what the internet has termed “Simping.” In recent years, the term “Simp” has risen to popularity to describe individuals who go above and beyond in their efforts to please others, particularly potential or actual romantic partners, often to their own detriment.
Simping is being exceedingly & overwhelmingly nice to someone, borderline or even touching being an unethical pushover, often in a romantic context, without receiving the same level of interest and energy in return.
It’s not merely about treating partners with respect that’s being a good person. Simping takes it a notch higher, where the level of niceness is excessive, obsessive and often unreciprocated.
It’s more about overcompensating, over pleasing, and being overly "DESPERATE" for approval, affirmation & intimacy

Agreed on all accounts. A former coworker had feelings for me. She was not accepting of my boundaries. After spending four months there. I decided to go back to school. She did not take my leaving well. Acted emotionally immature. Would give me dirty looks. Went so far as to have two other co-workers join in. They gave her a hug in the dish pit. The entire time she was facing me. Giving a dirty look. The entire situation was uncomfortable. Asked me in a angrier tone, if there was anything I want or need? After politely saying no thanks the first time. The next day (last shift) she played the whole im ignoring you game. I don't necessarily think she's a bad person. In a difficult position. Given she is the restaurant owners daughter. That is still no excuse for her behavior. I just wish her well.

@@Forged88 if anything. I try to practice sympathy and empathy. As I was bullied growing up. And I try to treat others the way I want to be treated. Her being a part of the family business. May have been out of her control. Regardless of why she does it. To a degree I can respect and admire the dedication. Does that excuse her behavior. Absolutely not. No excuses or apologies. If you do something own it.

@@Forged88 As previously stated. I was raised a certain way. It would be far too easy to say I don't respect a number of former co-workers. Or a large number of people in general. However, I fail to 🙈 how that would benefit me from a mental or emotional standpoint. My favorite poem is Desiderata. In it Max Ehrmann says " if you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter."

I wasn't quite desperate, but this happened to me at work in a new department. I was 37 (38 now), new and take notice of a beautiful female (age 25) co-worker. During the weeks and months that I was training, she subtly flirts with me on a daily basis. Flash forward 2 months later, a new guy (age 28) comes to the department, is average looking, quiet, reserved and a month later, she is all over him, giving him lustful looks and they're always off "working" away for hours on end doing "projects." At this point, she doesn't even take notice of me (tunnel vision for the other 28 yr old) when I'm in the room with the other guy and only talks to me when she needs something related to work. In order to attract her back to me, I took the initiative to dress better, ask her if she needs ANY help, take care of myself and lose weight. As the weeks/months passed, I started dressing better (business casual) and lost a lot of weight. She notices my style of fashion and complements me on a regular basis but do I attract her like before? Nope. She is still attracted to the other guy who is exactly the same as when started, lame at fashion, going through a divorce with 3 kids, broke to the point where he can't even afford a lawyer to get divorced and plays A LOT of video games. It just goes to teach me for future similar scenarios that it doesn't matter what you do to improve yourself, if the person you like doesn't like you, it doesn't matter what you do in the world to improve. They simply are not attracted to you and will NOT like you. Yes, I understand that there was a likely age gap difference and she may have initially flirted just to make a me feel welcomed but now she is ALSO flirting with a guy who is in his mid 40's, happily married with kids. As for the other 28 yr old guy? I think he's a S.I.M.P. and her dog (because he follows her around like that during work and doesn't question her authority) BUT more than likely, he's getting laid DURING work and doing less work. As for that 25 year old female co-worker? I think that she's an attention whore, spoiled (blessed with better than average looks and has gotten everything she wants up to this point in life) and always needs somebody to feed her ego (which that 28 year old S.I.M.P. does) BUT still interact with her in a PROFSSIONAL way. 🤝 The lesson you learn like his in life? You simply, learn and M O V E O N............................

Thank you for making and sharing this video, it hits hard and very deep in many ways. Just a question: you said at around 3:36 that "Those who appreciate and cherish more, are those who needs the other the most". I'm not sure I understand this fully. What do you mean by it? And can you give an example? Would appreciate any and all answers/critique.

Example if a girl u dating is into u n u not really into them she will love any little thing u do 4 her n will not leave u. That's y they say choose those who choose u 1st, dont go 4 wt u want go for wt wants u via their conduct n mesmerization in u n u will b happy. The very none needy way u will treat her is wt women want since she is not ur top pick😅.
