Ooohhh what a beautiful podcast. Two of my favourite people talking about what has become my favourite subjects. I was raised to do all the grassroots lifestyle but the difference was when I learnt to find joyful fulfillment in those daily rhythms. Household jobs, mending, homemaking, budgeting, making meal after meal was considered just work by my parents. Everything felt like it must be rushed to get it over. Rhonda has taught me that, the homemaking is my important work, I have income from other sources but that's not what creates a happy home. Our daily rhythm does. The older I get, the more I appreciate knowing the skills you ladies have taught and are teaching me. I'm making a difference, even if it's just in my own self. Morag, the beeswax wraps using the sandwich toaster are always amazing. I'm needing to make more soon. I can't wait. Thank you. Really enjoyed this. I must pop those books back on my bedside, time to rediscover any gems I've forgotten.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

You are two very beautiful people. Thank you for taking the time to share what you know. You have put into words so eloquently what I have been feeling since being required to stay at home. It has given me a sense of peace to have time to “work” at home and in my garden. Anxiety returns however as the world tries to return to its former state. For those of us who have been enriched by lockdown, we have a choice as to what we personally return to. If anyone reads this and feels hopeless, as I do sometimes, about the prospect of owning your own home, take heart. It is the mindset and personal skills that we develop that give us security. Investing in ourselves makes us resilient. Carry those skills from rented house to rented house if you have to. Do what you can. Owning a house is not everything.

Amazing advise! I used to literally save pennies when I could in the home and when out, working towards paying of our mortgage and so that we wouldn’t go into debt. Not only because of the money, but also because of the stress it causes. I was mocked and laugh at by people even friends… Fast forward years later, we retired early and life is great! People tell me I am lucky, I think I am! Luck showed up as opportunities and I took all the ones I could! A simple life is wonderful to me! I love being in my home, in my garden, most of my pleasures are very simple. Thank you for your teachings! So wonderful to hear that there are a people out there like us!
