Early on in my detailing career, I would attend numerous car shows and gatherings. Later I joined a car club and we were off to the races. I'm fortunate that most of my new clients are referrals from existing maintenance clients. Great content on your channel. I wish you much health, happiness, and success. 🍻

Luke...Some really terrific 411!!! You had over 10 years to get to this point of molding and shaping your business so you can pick and choose your clients. Now you can enjoy the fruits of your labor. I've always believed that the best advertising is your current customers bringing in referrals. It's free advertising.

This is brilliant. I speak with lots of people in the UK in the detailing community and your one of those detailers who cares and its all positive over here. Great Content and its great to see you get in front of the camera instead of those who hide behind it!

I have been using The Last coat products for well over a year now and found it to be the keeper for me. I don't have an Astin Martin but my two vehicles look like they just came from the showroom floor. I also take care of my cars like you do for your customers. Small World. Thanks for the video and keep 'em coming.

Luke as a fellow Tennessean I’ve got to say I love the channel and I really appreciate your information about business development. One thing I think would be helpful to mention for your audience and especially those new to running a business is your input costs and other factors. I realize your supply costs for this detail is fairly minimal but you’re using high quality stuff which can add up. Also I think drive time is VERY important to cover!! If you only work 45 minutes on a car but it takes 45 minutes to get to your client then in my mind you’re not at $100+ an hour. Your hourly earnings should be averaged over the course of the day. Again I think this is important for those starting out. Keep it up!

I just finished a long Lincoln suv 2016. I promised to give a full interior detail if they brought me 3 customers. Little did I know that the owner was not tidy to say the least. Looked great 6 hours later lol. Included extraction, vac,apc and interior dressing wipe down, and door jams cleaned and glossed. All windows cleaned inside and out. Lots of fun.love it.

14:30 - Luke - that is a huge business tip! I have spent the last year trying to transition from acquiring new customers to selling more coatings, learning the coating options, learning how to explain coatings to customers without coming across like it is a hard sell, selecting the coating I think works best given my situation, documenting the application process for social proof purposes, etc. Hearing you talk about this leads me to believe that I need to pivot to focusing on maintenance clients as opposed to attracting new business. I have hesitated to do this as the cash I spend on AdWords (now that my SEO is on point) has brought back such a high ROI that I have allowed this to continue to fill my funnel. I am looking forward to your course. You have helped to "flatten the learning curve" for me and I thank you for that! -Joe Connolly www.MakeMyAutoShine.com
