Great tip! I also use it quite often as it's so good! ..btw, when you record while editing in Final Cut, you can use the iPhone Mic remotely, using the voiceover Tool from Final Cut, it will automatically add into the timeline 😎

I used to do the same. Most good quality phones have a "hi res" recording mode. Mine has a 24 bit/48 Khz mode right in the voice recorder app. I record in wav format and use the multiband compressor in Premiere to apply the 'broadcast' preset. Voila! Crisp audio 🤌🏽✨

Not to be the devils advocate. But. Why don’t you just use the local recording (32-bit float) of the DJI Mic2. Did you update the firmware of the DJI mic, were they tweaked the EQ? Much richer sound. Don’t get me wrong. I like the audio recorded from the iPhone. And I totally get it. If you’re recording a voice over out and about the iPhone does the job. But, my opinion, the DJI mic sounds better if you tweak the audio. Anyhow great stuff as always.

To each their own. Not everyone has a mic, or knows how to tweak the audio of it. The DJI mic needs a lot of tweaking to make it sound good imo.
